Guys-
I like coming to Finalgear for opinions on programming, and you guys are some harsh critics as well, so here goes: I've gotten lots of emails about more content, more episodes per week, audio podcasts of my opinions on news, cars, racing, etc. But right now, we don't have the resources to do these sorts of things, and my industry contacts in LA aren't as strong as they are in NY, so getting regular guests on the show would be tough at first. BUT, I'm considering learning how to edit basic video, and starting once a week, filming a podcast, literally, from my garage. Sometimes they would be interviews, other times conversations, maybe testing a new product, or a car movie review, or whatever. But, I would be filming myself and editing would be basic at best. Bottom line, it would be kind of ghetto. On the other hand, if people want more content from the show, it's an option. So what's your take? |

Perhaps from every (or every couple) real video you shoot, you could release a short "blooper reel" in between regular releases. No extra filming, and it helps fill in the gap between the next episode.
Maybe every so often throw together a "This is our favorite fill in with a type of car like hatchback, sport sedan, CUV, etc at the moment." You could just drive it around town for a short bit, and get behind a vehicle you like, and tell us what you like about it. Something simple, no need to rent a track or have special guests or anything.

I didn't vote as I really cant decide. The best I can explain my opinion is that I think more stuff would be fine/good if and only if, the normal stuff continued as you can, and you fairly clearly denote what would be the ghetto episodes and what would be the good ones. Like a weakly chat session with episodes in between. I think this is important so people know what to expect if you know what I mean. But part of me leans toward less content at the same high quality. There is a fair bit of the ghetto stuff out there, and it is the quality that sets you apart.

Example: http://fwd.five.tv/fifth-gear/videos...-urban-cruiser You don't have to try to be clever about it, just find cars that might be interesting but may not be worth your time for a full episode. You could do a quick roadtest of the diesel 3-series on sale in the US, and give a quick rundown of whether anyone would buy it over a standard 335. EDIT: I voted for the second option, but it would depend on what you are able to pull off. Hell, I'd even be up for videos on what it's like to own a Vanquish. I would say yes if you want to film some interviews etc. I liked the interviews back in the 419 times.

I can sum it up in 3 sentences. It's very beautiful, and very fast in a straight line, while producing the best engine note I've ever heard in a streetcar at 7500 RPM. It doesn't turn, stop, or shift for shit, and I've never had a single girl sleep with me because I was driving it. But I'll never sell it as long as I live.
