Love that song. It's in this awesome rally video I have.

A really old episode, but TG Nov 23, 2003.. Plays from around 49:32 to 49:55 during the Toyota Hilux destruction segment while Clarkson is talking about why they brought the car to Bristol.

I could take a stab and think it might be Air, but I don't know why I think that and I'm probably completely wrong.

What's that song?

You're right, it's air :)
49:32 - 49:55 - Air - Don't Be Light

18:36-19:33 - Prodigy - Breathe

You mean that one?

Anyone know what the actual "theme" to for the Toyota truck segment is? Played all throughout the segment in this one and on the 12/07 episode. Starts at 48:40 on this episode.

Nevermind. I've answered my own question :)

Ennio Morricone - La Resa Dei Conti (Paying Off Scores)

this thread could definetly use some updates :)

I'm curious though, which version of this episode is most popular? My episode is the BBC Prime version, 52:33 long and 351mb. I've always been curious as the commercial format to Top Gear episodes, I'm in Canada and I get BBC Canada and BBC World.

BBC Canada shows hour long episodes with about 10 minutes worth of commercials shown throughout.

BBC World shows half an hour long episodes divided into 2 parts.

Yet the current episodes I download are all 59 minutes or so, I wonder if those are commercial free, (I'm guessing these are shown on BBC2).

And then there's the BBC Prime episodes I have, all 52 minutes or so. Is that what most people have for the older episodes?

Anyway for my version, the times stated in this thread don't match up with mine a whole lot.

But at 09:19 to 09:45 with Richard in the VW sounds like a remix of Depeche Mode - It's No Good

Yes, the originals that were aired on BBC2 were almost one hour long and without commercials. BBC is a government-owned broadcaster and is run with tax money, and thus, has no commercials.

I think most people(like me) have the older episodes because they were first ones shared through here, before the BBC Prime versions were brought in. I don't know why they're shorter, though. I find them kind of annoying, watching them and thinking "hey, they've sliced something from this bit here...".
