Great ep! I give it a 9 :)

The alfa bit was really pornography, becouse of the cinematography and that car itself!!

The race was great, it was fun seeing Richard screwing things up for a change, lo9l

And the SIARPC segment was ok, entertaining!

Just one thing...what's going on with James?! Ep 4 is gone, he still hasn't had a real review!! Only the TG stunt man bits and the chalenges/race!
Is it just me or is he beeing pushed out a bit...

A really great episode. I give it a 10.

Just one thing I didn't like - the Dacia Sandero jokes is starting to get boring...

Good cars, nice chicks, lots of fun, atmospheric race - 10/10. Could be 11 if it was a bit longer ;)

EPIC. :w00t:

More than makes up for the rest of Series 11, which - to be honest - has felt a little contrived and sterile. This is what TG is all about. It doesn't get much better than this.

it was simply an awesome race, maybe the best one ever made, the quality and dedication to make such an impressive product is what makes me a fan of the show.

I'm still hoping that james give us more of his humor on the show

Great episode! And did nobody else notice how incredible that bridge that Jeremy crossed over was!!! Just stretched forever out into the fog!

I gave the episode 10/10 but i would have preferred 9.5/10.

James May needs to get a MUCH bigger part in the program. Hammond too to be honest but especially James. What's up with Jeremy doing EVERYTHING?

Just watched it and curiously, I found everything but the race worth a 10. The GTR vs. Japan's public transport was good, very good. But the film felt a little short and it lacked something. Maybe it's a little like the GTR itself, so brilliant that it almost gets you annoyed with it. But this was, without a doubt, the best episode this series had so far, though.

The Alfa review was well done, they way they played the sudden change in mood is brill ("...and the overall result is... terrible!").

Japan race was amazing and almost everything it could be... almost. Hence the 9. The cinematics are wonderful and the drama was fairly believable, but the "look how dumb we are" avoiding-all-the-English-instructions bits were still overdone. Richard getting lost wasn't though, that seemed very genuine.

Anyone notice, Jeremy puts his headband on upside-down, but after the traffic light it's right-side up? Wonder how that happened...

movie magic?

I said earlier...

...so what was Shelagh Fogarty talking about this morning?
She was right: Simon Mayo did talk extensively to the gay American bishop, but given the show was three hours long, Captain Slow had a half-hour-long slot. And I managed to record it without any technical hitches.

However, it seems upyourego has beaten me to it... good job too, as AUDACITY JUST CRASHED ON ME AFTER I'D FINISHED EDITING and also seems to be refusing to write to anything other than its own .aup file...

Given that his editing is pretty much the same as what I just did, you may as well all go with his version; 128 kb/s is fine for a mono radio broadcast.

First time he stopped after he put it on - someone (most likely the camera crew) told him by walkie-talkie that he wears it upside down so he changed it. Or maybe he even found out himself... There's no direct continuity between the traffic light and the next shot of Jezza, so it would not even be an error if the race would be staged...

That's what I'm betting on. And no, I'm not calling it fake or staged or anything like that :p Just pointing out that the crew must have some 'eagle-eyed chaps' of their own.

because JC was paid a trillion zillion pounds more than James and Richard, so Andy decided to get him to do everything~?

no comment on the bits about ur mum...

but they can't just suddenly make an episode 2 hours long whenever they wished... anything like that would need to go through those white collar people inside BBC and might get very troublesome...

so what I'm hoping is when they release it eventually onto DVD, it'll be a much longer version of what was shown on telly...
