I think the issue with most reasonable people would be that one joke that he found offensive shouldn't really be worth -4 points on the episode's overall rating. People have the right to vote how they want, but a lot of people here like to see the results of this vote and prefer well reasoned votes over slightly irrational votes.

Everyone, no matter how good a sense of humour they have, will inevitably be offended at some point in their life and when it happens, they should not always be expected to "laugh it off". Some topics are simply not "joke material" for an individual. For some, that topic might include God. For others it might be art or child rape. That doesn't mean they don't have a good sense of humour.

well, in this case i think we all know Jezza well enough to know that he is a little mental. We have come to expect this from him so i say that it should be taken with a grain of salt. you see it in the world sometimes, someone laughs at a joke on someone else then turns around and gets mad when it hits them. look back to what i wrote about the mustang thing with Richard. yes, its is the same thing.

this was my real point

Test Drive 2 was one of my earliest car influences so seeing the 959 and F40 going head-to-head once again was something special. Racing the sun from coast to coast is an interesting idea but it felt like Clarkson was selling the Jag instead of reviewing it. I was looking forward to a fist fight between Clarkson and Prescott; that man has balls for appearing on the show. The Cool Wall felt like a rushed segment just to fill in a time gap. The moon buggy segment, although entertaining, also felt like a time-filler.

If this episode doesn't get a 10 I don't know wich one does.

I don't vote the way most of you do here.
I save my 10's for episodes like the Africa special, 10,000 pound Italian super car challange, etc. I don't hand out many 10s.
I gave 7/10. It was the best overall episode of the series. Let's hope series 17 will be more like this + the Albania film.
I enjoyed all 3 films but especially liked Clarkson's. I enjoyed the car and liked the photography and editing.
Fun to watch Hammond enjoying himself with the classic cars he admired in his youth. Beautiful cars.
Nice of NASA to let May take the new lunar rover out for a drive. Like May, I'm old enough to remember seeing the astronauts drive the first one on the Moon on live t.v. .
I even enjoyed John Prescott.
Cool Wall was disappointing.

Finally got a chance to view this one, and gave it a 10. Loved the three presenter pieces, the news and the SIARPC; win all around.

For me the most fun was watching the moon buggy. I live .5mi from JSC-NASA, have friends who work there and visit often enough to have seen the new one in action. Too bad I was offshore when this was filmed or I might have made that as well. As it is I watched the bit three times, once for the overall experience, twice to checkout the landscape. JSC is a big place but I still recognized some of the buildings and background shot; fun, fun, fun.

oh, i should mention that this is def. an episode I will watch again, down the line.

I don't know if I can say the same for [16x5], so huge props to TG for a great final S16 episode!

anybody noticed the Mastretta MXT (Mexico car) it was on the top of the sub-zero board on and off? probably it was deleted for many reason but i found that hilarious.

around 47:42 you'll see it right behind Hammond

I'm right with you there ... God, I can still hear that sexy female voice saying "Test Drive 2 ... the duel" over the intro music... *sigh* .. :)

They did a lot of re-takes during the cool wall of them positioning the cars on the board so I guess they just missed that one. Easy enough to get right, sure, but also easy enough to miss when Jeremy's playing the fool!

Guys i'm translating this episode to spanish and i'm clueless with some bits of the interview...

1-41:23-41:29

When JC says "I can't see either of the XXX Brothers (what's the name of that?) punching anybody" And what he says after that

2-42:24-42:38

When Prescott talks about his Rover TC or something like that

I really need your help, thanks in advance :)

I think he said "Milliband" (sp UKanians?) in regards to your first question.

9/10 from me, this episode felt "honest" if that's the right word. No gimmicks, no forced jokes, gave us enjoyment of driving (Jag race), some car porn (F40 and 959) and something very interesting (James's moonbuggy), even though James might have filmed it during filming for his other program, but whatever. I very much enjoyed the SIARPC, I thought that Clarkson handled it rather well, despite their very much opposing views. And cool wall/news was also fun. This wasn't an epic episode (10/10 like the Bolivia race) but surely a great one.

"I made a disastrous attempt to move to Rover once. .. the Rover TC ... I thought I'd try that .. I liked it and I admired that engineering. And then I found one and took it to the garage and found out it was two halves being welded together."

Any episode with an F40 (aka my endall dreamcar) in it has HUGE potential. The rest of the episode was great as well. The race wasn't a 10/10 itself, but close enough to make it very entertaining, not too mention the Jaaaaaaaag. James' segment was great as well, made me sad that we aren't going back to the Moon (just yet). Made me feel a sense of patriotism, and jealousy for not being able to witness us landing on the Moon. Best guest they've had in a while. I loved the argumentative nature of the interview, that's REAL entertainment. Loved Jezza calling him out. What a sport for coming on though.

10, not because every segment was spot-on perfect, but because it really felt like a genuine car program, mostly because they didn't try to be overly funny. Each of the 3 played to his strength and it worked. Just to repeat myself, anything with an F40 is amazing. Best complete episode on a long time.

Edit: how did I forget THE COOL WALL? That alone added some points.

I loved it. I even watched the SIARPC segment in it's entirety this time. I normally skip to the lap because I have no idea who it is, but this was gold. Clarkson pwned John quite thoroughly.

Also, in 17x01, I want to see a fixed 959 and fixed F40 do a lap.
