A very good well-rounded episode. Pagani & Bentley segments for the car enthusiast and a good laugh in the last P45 segment. I think the 3 are still up for it and you can see that. 8/10. I was a bit worried with the show being gone for a year. I hope there are more than 5 episodes though.

An episode made more interesting because of 'TG withdrawal', rather than based on content. I don't understand why they completely drenched the Huayra review in graphics and crap. It doesn't need it. Bin all the filters. I want to see the car.

7/10 - Solid average top gear... until the last segment - somewhat funny but unoriginal and pointless. Why are they already using filler pieces?
Hope the rest of the season doesn't go downhill.

My favorite part was the Bentley rallying. I'm surprised how well it drives in such conditions.

I didn't like P45 part for all the same jokes told once more.

Because they now show it in HD and it's still a new toy so they like to show off with it. And personally I thought the Huayra film was rather well shot and in spite of his boyish giddiness (face it we'd all be the same if handed a racetrack and the keys to a car like that) which normally makes me want to slap Hammond I thought his review was spot on.

Enjoyed the Bentley piece (although the sceptic in me was asking if James' messing up of the pace notes was real or scripted) and while I have no clue who the guest is he seemed OK and their first ever properly snowy lap made for entertaining viewing.

P45 bit? Not so great. Warmed up leftovers from the Peel P50, Hammerhead Thrust thing, Fiesta in the shopping centre and the Reliant Robin film (not the rocket, the other one). Hence a 7.

Next week looks pretty good as long as they make it more like the roadtrip to Bonneville and less like the supercars on the East Coast which, sadly, I fear they will.

Good comedy version of SIARPC with Lt. Winters, very funny and different.
Liked the new Paganni too, odd since I'm not much of a supercar fan.
Rallying the Bently was prettty brave of VW to give up the car, good segment.

LOL'd at Theo on the P45, "its utter shit!", well done to the Dragons for joining in.

Is there going to be a 1080i release of this? Never got around to one for the Bond Special :(

I dunno if I'm wrong here, but am I wrong in saying that James' clips are never as high in effects as those from Jeremy and Richard? Maybe they have a say in the effects of the clips they film...

Ok episode but not great.

Pagani review was surprisingly solid and informative, a great combination of TG style and actual substance. Blows my mind that Hamster was the one to make such a quality piece. There's little to nag about there.

News were brief but I'm glad they were there regardless. Could've used more content. Not sure why there was so little there.

Bentley bit was ok, even though the car made it a lot more boring than you'd expect. I think you just can't make that car interesting, no matter the video. James presented well. The rally thing was dramatic for no reason and added pretty much no value to the episode.

Jeremy bit was mostly pretty stupid and forgettable. I guess the shark tank bit was funny but I missed most of its punch as it was based on the British version. The parody was funny enough.

I wish the car bits were twice as long and the minicar bit was half as long.

I can see the mexican media going all nuts again with the fact that the Stig was listening to the mexican anthem while testing the Huayra, we have a very fkd up sence of humour against our people and outsiders but we cant deal with jokes coming from outside the country.

I totally loved it!

After watching the Huayra piece...I had to go lay down as I was getting faint! What a beautiful and absolutely amazing car!!:woot:

Oh well. I think the Pagani bit was cinematographic perfection, it really was a pleasure to watch. I think I?ll watch it again right after posting this. It also looks like they?ve got a new director and/or DP for these bits. I loved the rally bit, which, admittedly, isn?t difficult loving rallye and liking the bentley in the first place (it would?ve been good either way). Good cinematography as well, given the circumstances at these events. News were okay but not as hilarious as usual, I guess they some need time to get that special chemistry going again. It felt staged, more than usual. SIARPC lap was nice, I skipped the interview. Don?t know the guy, couldn?t be arsed to listen to them talking. The P45 leaves me unimpressed. For instance, I don't think it?s smaller than the P50 and it?s utter crap aswell. So it?s down to jokes about Jeremy trundling along in it. Doesn?t work, wasn?t worth the effort, sorry.

But that Pagani - and the film about it - dear god. Automotive Pornography. :jawdrop:

Great fun all around, and an excellent balance between car reviewing, challenges, and entertainment; the stuff that makes Top Gear Top Gear. I could have done without the Dragon's Den bit at the end there, but the P45 segment was really funny!

7/10
Episode was decent, however, after a year I'd start with the better stuff if I were the producer. Huayra segment was good, but with a cheap filtre that a budget Sony Ericsson phone camera in 2007 had, the Continental bit was great, and it, as all JM segments, had a great editing, the news were boring, SIARPC and the lap was great, but the P45 segment was so-so. It could have been shorter, but for some cheap laughs it was OK. It wasn't the best of Top Gear, but it definitely could have been worse (car-trains, motorhomes, etc.)

There's one word in the English language that's perfect to describe this episode:

Dull.

Not actively, offensively stupid. Not utterly brilliant. Just dull.

Nobody was showing any enthusiasm whatsoever. Richard showed more joie de vivre in regard to the Huuuuurrah in the Mag COTY article than on screen. James almost put me to sleep with his going-over of the Bentley. Jezza was extending his tradition of an annual appearance from Stupid Jeremy in the first episode of the series (a tradition that goes back to at least Season 11 and is only avoided when they do a road trip as Episode 1). Don't give a shit about Homeland, so don't care about SIARPC.

And I simply do not believe the lap time; not even Horacio Pagani imbued with the brain imprints and testosterone of Valentino Balboni could have carded a 1:13. Does anyone really believe that this car is three seconds faster than a Fax Machine, even adjusting for weight and a little more grunt? A second faster, yes, but not three seconds.

I'm with you. There is just no way this car is so much faster than the Apollo (which has more HP and is lighter) or the Atom, or even the Caterham. 3 seconds a lap is a massive difference.

But is it just me or is the lap time board a bit... weird up top? I don't remember the Koenigsegg being that high up...

Also, did the P45 bit look a bit CG to anyone? I mean, look at Jeremy's face right at the beginning, on the track. It just looks like bad CG, it doesn't even seem attached to his body...

7/10...the Bentley rescued it after the news-bit nearly killed it before...never was so close to skip some part of a new episode. the three just completely fail at acting, didn't believed them for a moment. Neither was the audience by the looks of thing.

It was one of my favorite bits of the show till about series 13-15.

Maybe 7 is still to good...
