2007 US Grand Prix

And then he asked Button about being a playboy or something. You could see the 2 drivers weren't that comfortable with that line of questioning.

Lewis called out the lady asking the question wearing the ferrari hat, that was pretty funny. Another interesting thing....all the drivers came out in pairs, but Alonso and Hamilton were apart.

And Alonso also had sunglasses on. So if my memory is correct. Kimi, Massa, and Alonso were the only ones with shades.

I watched all 3 hours as well. That new guy named something Daley sucked. I could tell at times that Bob felt uneasy and I think thats why we saw less and less of him.

I found it weird how Alonso and Hamilton came out separately and I don't know about you but I found it annoying how those three had there shades on. Maybe it's old fashioned but I think it's respectful to take off your sunglasses when talking to people. At least it wasn't an indoor event because I've seen athletes/stars where sunglasses inside too which is even more ridiculous and rude.

Vettel will sub for Kubica:

Robert Kubica will not take part in this weekend?s US Grand Prix and his place will be taken by BMW Sauber?s official reserve driver Sebastian Vettel.

Kubica underwent a medical examination at Indianapolis on Thursday following his massive crash in Montreal last Sunday.

Although he showed no ill effects and passed the test, the FIA?s medical delegate Gary Hartstein decided to rest him for the weekend on precautionary grounds.

It was felt that the risks of another serious accident and a second concussion in the space of a week were too high, especially given the history of high-speed impacts with the wall at Indy?s banked final corner.

Kubica miraculously escaped serious injury in his Montreal accident and was released from hospital on Monday.

He told a news conference on Thursday afternoon that he felt ?100 percent okay, no headache, nothing ? like brand new? but accepted the need to defer to the doctors? judgement on whether he would be fit to race.

Vettel, who was stunningly impressive on Friday practice outings last year, has been on standby since Canada and will make his grand prix race debut on Sunday aged 20.

BMW will review the situation ahead of the French GP on July 1, but Kubica is expected to return to the cockpit provided he passes further medical checks at Magny-Cours.

If Vettel gets a podium... will he be given sparkling grape juice for the champagne ceremony?

I don't get it...

Because Vettel is 19 and under the legal drinking age in the US. I don't think it will be an issue though!

Oh! :p

Well, legal drinking age in Canada is 18, so that's why I didn't get it at first.

For me, it made them come across as being detatched and slightly arrogant. The others seemed a lot more comfortable and open. Maybe it's because they probably have a lot more media scrutiny etc, I don't know. Maybe it's just ego. Or maybe it's nothing :p

It was really awesome to get to see the drivers like this, I hope they do it more often. 8)

Hopefully it finds its way on the net, it was fun to watch. BTW...Trulli had shades on too. I love how laid back some of the drivers were

:woot: Honda both in the Top Ten. Fingers crossed for good Qualifying and no stupid pitstops in the race.

Ignoring the Spykers, as they are always going to be up the back of the field, Theres just over 1.5 seconds only between P1 and P20. Brilliant.

Webber's gearbox failed in practice 2, hopefully the problem is fixed before qualifying and the race. Hope it's not going to be another DNF for him...

Im watching the replay on Speed of Practice 1. The stands look really empty. I hope that they fill up by race day. Bernie said F1 doesnt need America, so Indy might lose its race one day.

Why are all the german drivers driving under the influence? :p (sorry that was the first thing that came to my mind)

I've got this theory, that Webber doesn't actually know how to drive too well, and he really hates being in GPs. He gets so scared that during the race he kicks the engine until it breaks down and he can go back to the relaxing sidelines.

^

Why does F1 bother with Indy. Im watching P3 and in all 3 sessions there is nobody in the stands. At every other event, the stands are basically full every session.

F1 in my opinion should go to another venue where F1 is a showcase event, eg. Long Beach.
