so really we should be abusing Sutil for being in Kimi's way!! Would have had 4th in the bag!!!

Well, it was a traffic jam and it was rather chaotic.

Case in point: the 1989 race, after de Cesaris and Piquet came together at the same place and blocked the track. Some people surely overtook there, because they had to negotiate the blockage and they had two lines to do it.
 
I think essentially we are arguing about semantics. We all believe that Kimi did all he could and probably would have got away with it if Sutil wasn't there.
We'll just have to agree to disagree on our individual understandings of catching something.

In regards to Sutil, he was called in by the stewards for overtaking under yellows but they gave no punishment. Who knows if it would have been different if he had finished the race.
 
say.... do you lose the whole race or just get demoted by one place if you over take under the yellow flag ?
