^ I see a bit of Impreza, a bit of Focus, a bit of Alfa Giulietta and then I get around to the front and :barf:

Other Cars are good looking in such a white, like a Audi TT or Scirocco, but this looks like an plastic white kitchen good from the rear, and is still monstrously ugly at the front.

News flash: Two white 5 door hatches look similar from the side, film at 11!

I agree. Pretty much all modern 5 door hatchbacks look the same.

In an era where everyone else tries to make their entry level product look more expensive than it is, with the Cruze, Chevrolet takes a bold stance and makes it look really cheap. Something about that front end just makes it seem really badly assembled.

I'm seeing a cross between Mitsubishi Lancer and the AH Astra, with a hint of Impreza.

As for the front ... the grille is just too big, and that bar separating the top piece just further cheapens it. I'm guessing the Holden version won't have that, which will probably only make the grille look even bigger, but slightly less ugly. If they didn't have any grille above that cross-piece, it would probably look quite decent. My Photoshop skills are non-existent, so you'll just have to mentally PS that.

Oh, and I REALLY hope those poxy LED running lights don't make it into production. They just look obnoxious, and it's quite sad that this trend seems to be creeping into more and more cars. Audi has a lot to answer for.

This. I've read that it feels ten times nicer than a Cobalt when you're inside it, but from thirty paces, it looks even cheaper than a Cobalt. That's no recipe for success.

The front and back don't match at all; they should make the front less angry.

At first I was

Despite the obvious ricyness and the Transformer lights, I like it after spending some time looking at it. What they really need to rectify is the engines, they are ancient, low on power and high on fuel. Put the 1.4T in there instead of Daewoo stuff!

But it's way way better than the Mitsu someone posted. I like it. Except the stuid LED strip.

If Chevy is really serious about elevating their brand out of the 'complete piles of utter shit, brought to you by your own tax dollars' situation, they really need to consider a new design language. Because my first thought when I see that grill is 'I really hope the wheels don't come off and injure me when it drives past.' Not exactly ideal.

What is it with new hatches and a really high slopes on the back windscreen? Don't they realize that this kind of design means you can't fit anything in the trunk? The hatch on my golf is pretty vertical, which means I can fit tons of crap back there when I need to. Might as well buy the sedan version... yawn...

The Chevy Cruze I saw on the streets looked pretty solid and quality, I think its better looking in person than the pictures would indicate

yes its not the hatch, but the front end is basically the same
