This has to be a joke, that's clearly a lightly re-designed facelifted 206. I hope they've at least brought the bits you don't see up to date.

My God, it's a four-door first-gen Ford Ka. Pug, what are you thinking?

In China the Citroen C2 is a slightly redesigned Peugeot 206:

I think this "208 Compact" might be for the same kind of markets.

They offered a similar 206+ when the 207 came out. The new 208 front looks even more out of place though.

Reminds me of those people that do front-end swaps on Benzes.

The thing is, I don't recall the 206 as being particulary reliable. Granted, they had plenty of time to fix all those electrical fuckups and whatnot with the 207+ and by now this, but still.. They're either gonna leave the old engines in there which is crap by default, or they'll put modern ones in there (because they have to, emissions are bitch) and with that all new electronics, which restarts all the issues basically.

City Golf / City Jetta anyone?

It's more likely to go like this:

Why new when old will still do!

Yes, in Russia and some other east country's, I believe it's still to date in production in Uzbekistan

But it does come with some impressive features such as automatic climatecontroll, HID Headlights and other stuff what the Kadett of the 80's only could dream of.

Yeah, this is a dated design, but it's still a testament to the engineering Peugeot put into the 206. Right?

It certainly was (and still is imho) an attractive looking car:

A friend of mine had a 206 1.9D that he trashed without mercy and, despite its lack of power or maybe because of it, he had a lot of fun with it.
