Finally got the chance to see the whole thing from start to finish and wow. I mean Bathurst always delivers but this was on another level. Felt for SVG and Reynolds big time but glad to see Mostert win. An amazing race.

Whauw. :)

Haven't seen a V8 Super Cars race in 2 years, and after seeing that I wonder why I insist on watching F1 instead of this (there are only so many hours in one day).

James Courtney has been ruled out of competing at Bathurst this weekend due to injuries received when he was struck by something in pitlane, that had become airborne when a chopper hovered too close to the ground at a previous round in Sydney.

He will be replaced by Russell Ingall.

David Reynolds has been fined $25,000 for referring to the wildcard all-girl team of Renee Gracie and Simona De Silvestro as the "pussy wagon".

seriously? i had no idea australian V8s were even more political correct than F1...
It's a pretty crap thing to say. In the pits, perhaps, but at a press conference? :?
It's not like we don't have enough supporters complaining that they'd need a GPS to get around the track, or they need to keep out of the guys' way and not cause a crash. Or to get some "real drivers". These girls have form. It's not like they've never raced before FFS.

David Reynolds
Yep. Don't know where I got Paul from. I shouldn't read multiple pages at once I guess.

Practice and Qualifying have been suspended for the day after a nasty crash.

SPOILER ALERT for those who don't want to know...

Spoiler Text: (Click here to toggle display)
Last year's winner, Chaz Mostert has suffered a broken left femur and a broken left wrist after a big accident at Forest Elbow, which has also injured 4 officials.
Video at the link: http://www.foxsports.com.au/motor-sport/v8-supercars/bathurst-1000-chaz-mostert-in-shocking-crash-during-qualifying/story-fn2ms9um-1227563620958

Car 6 is a write off, and Chaz has been airlifted to hospital.

That was simply just dumb luck that we are not dealing with the deaths of those marshalls.
