If it were available and someone bought the GT3RS with PDK I would personally make it my duty to castrate them.

Any why is this? Because it no longer makes it a "proper drivers car"??

I guess it just seems weird having a slushbox (admitedly a very good one aside from the stupid switches) in what is a pretty harcore "track machine".

I'll have one in white with no decals and unpainted wheels thanks.
 
DSG is not a slushbox, thats a torque converter auto. Porsche are about to ditch the stupid switches and put in proper paddles. The fact that it is a hardcore track car is exactly why I would have the PDK. The point is for this car to go as fast as possible, PDK makes that possible.

For a regular 911? I'd probably take a manual!

Colour choice very tricky, the black one in the video is pretty porn!

I don't think Porsche would've kept the old engine and stuck in a PDK if they wanted absolute performance. The new DI engine in combination with PDK would prolly be a lot quicker, but the old engine offers so much more noise, vibrations and sensation. A manual box is a lot more satisfying to use aswell. It's a real drivers car, that's why it's got a manual, they stated that with the launch of the GT3.2.

Is it just me or is the 911 GT3 RS the only car that manages to look amazing in those ridiculous color schemes and decals?
 
Looks like the US-market RS is going to get the full treatment this time around. Order guide indicates that we'll get the lexan rear window in the States, unlike with the 997.1 RS where it wasn't available.

And yeah, you can order with decal delete if you want. I kinda feel like an RS should look cartoonish and vulgar, though. If you want understated just get a "regular" GT3. :)
