Jap crap
Well i modify and tune cars for a living. Mostly japanese turbo sports cars but i will work on pretty much anything. I mainly do custom work, turbo conversions/upgrades, engine conversions. I specialise in ecu tuning, both aftermarket ecu's and retuning factory ecu's. The workshop is equipped with a 4WD chassis dyno which is not that common around here.

I thought some people here might be interested to see what sort of work goes on day to day in a performance workshop. First of all i will put up some old photos and then i will show some more interesting cars in detail.

Let me know if you find this thread interesting.

Mods move it if it's in the wrong section.

Here are some of the different types of cars that come in to the shop...

Bug-eye with a few mods. I re-flash the factory ecu on these.

Thanks for the pics, they look great!

Note to self : Quadrax will be the man to speak to when I need to modify my car.

Yes i get to do a job i love. Although being your own boss can have it's ups and downs.
Just realised i had a bunch of photos on my other laptop that someone spilled half a liter of coca-cola into. The mainboard is toast but i think the harddrive still works. Not sure what to do with it though?

Umm, some spare sr20det?

Can you make a general comment on how tuning affects the reliability of a car. I know it's not that easy to say and depends on how far you take it, which car etc etc..
But I'd like to hear a few thoughts.

That 300ZX is hot! (Remember kids, I still love them!)

Seriously cool job, I think it's safe to say that a lot of us here wouldn't mind having your job and expertise.

Still...you couldn't have come up with a better thread title though?

What do you expect from a guy with clarkson holding a dildo as an avatar?

Ok a mod can edit the title if they think of something better, it is a little rude to dial-up users i suppose.

Great job mate!!!

And really interesting too! And you got some pretty good examples to work with!!! That 993 is gorgeous and those R32's...

It's good to have somebody who works tunning cars in a mechanic way.

Those older skylines are delicious. I would love to drive a built R32.

Amazing cars, great job.
For that Laptop HDD, if you just plug it into all of the correctly-shaped wires and such in your desktop it'll work fine.

Or you can go with my approach. Get an enclosure for like $25 with a USB connector makes for a nice mobile drive.

These are some real nice rides you have there, I love how they are so normal-looking on the outside...

Nice cars btw! esp the porsche
