Awesome Thread... [Automotive Edition]

Huh?
I can't read the cluster clock...

In HD you can, even though barely. It's just weird that a minute in the video takes 50 seconds going by the instrument cluster, the guy was probably suggesting that in the part of the video where they go 30-290 kp/h the video was sped up ;)

The time was
1:05:36
for those wondering

I was watching the Lancia episode of Top Gear. Then I searched for Intagrale in youtube and come across with that video,

What does actually he say? Can anyone translate it or just give an idea of what he is speaking about?

By the way, that's really cool;

In the first part he says that Audi wasn't bold enough to stockpiling 1400 cars of the first quattro to get it homologated properly since you'd need 5000 cars for that. When R?hrl and Audi turned up to the Monte Carlo 87 the Integrale didn't meet the regulations because of the openings for the intercooler etc. and Lancia had just 3500 cars as well, but he did put up the pressure until the end. After the rallye finished they protested but as the board of commisions comprised of 6 italians and one frenchman the protest bit the dust. Afterwards Lancia had their own way because Audi didn't want to put up with that anymore.

In the second part he talks about the looks of the Martini-livery which was perfect, not only for the Delta but for the 037 before that as well.

The third part is about how the italian mechanics were very passionate about the cars, they cried when the car failed and were very emotional about everything.

He rants about how this car beat him at Monte Carlo '87 because it wasn't quite within the regulations and thus about 50 hp more powerful than his Audi (and 200 kg lighter), but the protest was turned down by the officials, consisting of six Italians and one Frenchman. :D Also, that Audi was too dumb to build another 1500 Sport Quattro to meet the homologation numbers and be able to compete with the Delta Integrale.
Other than that, he conveys his admiration for the car basically.

Edit: DAMNIT Eye-Q! :D

Well, she asked...:lol:

That car screams MAXIMUM 80'S!

Awesome!
