Beer

We need to start a domestic beer trading network....with USPS flat rate boxes it should be fairly affordable. Unfortunately being from Oklahoma the only thing I have to offer over other states is locally produced beers like Choc, Marshalls, and Coop.

I can't really get much around here that others can't, although I don't think Big Sky distributes very far.

EDIT: Basically anyone east of Indiana would have a VERY hard time finding it, and their regularly-brewed beers are generally quite good.

So it affects craft beer drinkers, and NO ONE ELSE. I doubt most alcoholics spend their money on craft beer.

FedEx wont have to know whats in the box..

They'll throw it around regardless of contents or FRAGILE stickers indeed.... Shipping beer.... Bad idea.

Well, thats why I said FedEx and not UPS, I've seen both in action when they pick stuff up from where I work and it seems FedEx is little more gentle with things. UPS will throw anything around. They apparently treat their employees like shit so that's why the decide not to be careful.

Anyway. A way to ship beer needs to be figured out, for the good of all men.

Friend of mine in college worked at FedEx, according to him, the more FRAGILE stickers there were on a given package, the harder they would abuse it. And any package that went through there was airborne at some point (no, I'm not talking about planes).

Just ship it in your own air freight container then. Granted you will need a larger car to transport it yourself, but that container they cannot throw around.

Chocolate beer? wich idiot thought that was a good idea?

Whats next? hamburger flavoured beer? deepfried beer? :p

It has a flavor/aroma of dark chocolate among other things. It's not like a chocolate milkshake or anything like that.

Has anyone here tried Founder's Breakfast Stout? One of my friends recommended it and I found out that it's for sale at a local convenience store.

It's 8th on BA's top 100 beers... you should pick up as many as you can :p

I think Founders is a Michigan brewery, but I've only found it at this one convenience store here since the other one shut down. There's actually a beer-specialist store in Ann Arbor, but their prices are pretty high. I'll pick some up once this semester is over.

We've talked about Breakfast Stout a few times in here recently. It is a great stout, although I'll tell you its a million times better on draft than in a bottle. I personally think its ranked too high on BA, if were talking about straight from the bottle I would put Sam Smith's Oatmeal Stout above Breakfast Stout.

Grand Rapids, and it is very good. Have to agree not a top ten beer for me, but still up there. Goes for $2.90 here, $10 for a four pack.

Wow. I got it for $10 a four pack when it was on sale. Usually the cheapest you can get it around here is around $14 for a four pack.

Also, I finally opened that bottle of Pangaea yesterday. It was absolutely 100% worth every penny. It was unbelievably delicious. I'm not a fan of Belgian beers at all, but this was incredible. It was by far the best Belgian I've ever had, which either means it was that good, or it was a poor representation of a Belgian. Hmm..

I have an Aunt who lives in Bryn Mawr and PA has weird alcohol laws, although I love the BYOB restaurants!

As for the Pangaea, I've yet to have it, can never find it anywhere! But from what I read about it, it may be a Belgian style, but it is far from traditional.

We might have the worst liquor laws in the country. I would love for someone to challenge how asinine our laws are. I'm sure there's a state out there with worse laws, and I would love to hear about it.

We can't buy beer and liquor in the same store. Its illegal. WHAT?
