GM 3800 Series II Supercharged:

Yeah, right up until the point where it blows its supercharger (Father's), blows a head gasket (Grandfather's), Leaks oil all over the place (Grandfather's), and then needs a full rebuild at 95,000mi (Father's).

Don't care how many cars those engines are in, or how rugged they may be, from my families personal experience - they're crap.

Man 90% of the stuff posted seems to have been posted because it's powerful, or in a car they own, not because it actually looks good... I'm looking at Punisher Bass, MadCow, and Elmo. I'm sorry but German engines are ugly as sin 9 times out of ten. The 3800 has never looked good and the Ecotec is a bland engine.

There is an Exception for the older BMW I-6's when in the M5's and 6 series of the 80's/early 90's.

You need to look to the Miller/Offy 4 cylinders and straight 8's. Updraft Carburettors FTW!

And then there is the GM Quad 4 HO from the late 80's oldsmobiles, just need to remove the plastic cover and it's a damn good looking engine.

technically it is a car engine lol.....

I've chatted with the owner of that car in AOL Car Chat a couple times, real nice guy. He's got a real nice garage too.

I have always been interested in radial engines, but I don't think they've ever been applied to a car. Oh and I'm waiting for Jayhawk to post pics of an rb26

Really? I've never had any problems like that with mine. The only real work that's been done to the engine was a top end gasket job because of the coolant problems (probably same thing that happened to your family, and the supercharger snout rebuild.

I would have thought that was obvious? You know, tounge in cheek.

what in the name of all things holy are those?

Falconer 9.8L V12 that was slated to be the powerplant for the Brammo GT. Unfortunatly the project appears to have been canceled; Brammo has turned their attention towards electric bicycles at the moment:mad:. Before they canceled it they said it would produce "1200-1600" bhp in a supercharged configuration running race gas.

Falconer still sells the engine itself, claiming 800 bhp N/A on pump gas.
