What a question...... This is regarding the Mig

Q: If you please, what is the top speed of this craft? Thank you.

A: Mach 2 without the drop tank, M 1.6 with the drop.

I wonder if old P51 Mustangs pop up for sale on ebay. Imagine racing one of those....

$150,000 for a jet fighter, that's a bargain! I'd get it just to commute :p

I'm constantly staggered at how cheap VW Phaetons are nowadays, especially the W12s:

though with 85K miles and no warranty, I'd be praying daily for it to not break down.

Of course, if you only like the engine, just buy one of these and swap it into anything you want:

Miata? Camaro? E-type? Small hatchback in an MR configuration? Possibilities are endless.

Holy Shitwich!!!!!

Would I be assuming incorrectly if I were to think that's essentially two VR6's strapped together or would it be correct at all to think it's somehow related to the VR6's?

Yup, two VR6s strapped together and tweaked appropriately. Not that simple in actual execution; imagine if you could actually take the two halves apart and have them run separately somehow, like Power Ranger Zords before they become the Megazord.

Yeah I read that at one time there was a concept of the Veyron while it was in development where they had three VR6's essentially strapped together for an 18-cylinder engine but obviously they removed 2 cylinders for production. I'd settle for one VR6 myself though.

Too bad a civilian can't actually fly that fast. There was a law instated in 1968 which forbids civilians to create sonic booms over US airspace.

Damn! Cheap W12s are tempting. Looks like my E55 could use an engine swap

Speaking of military surplus... this isn't ebay, but this is the only "military vehicle" I'd be interesting in buying:
Whiskey Submarine

"Just" $497k US (with probably another $250k US needed to make it seaworthy)

In honor of this week's Top Gear, you too can be like Jeremy Clarkson:

1970 Mercedes-Benz 600

Oh and hey, there's some old car in there for sale too. Or something. :p
