Here’s an Alpine A110 with a difference. Not content with producing one of the most agile, responsive chassis on the market right now, Alpine has adapted a one-off A110 for more rigorous use. Called the Sport X, it’s an A110 that can handle a more demanding journey, and features a range of mechanical tweaks to do it.
And no you can’t buy one, it’s just a one-off made for the international Automobile Festival of the Invalides in Paris.
The new car is a joint effort between the Renault offshoot’s design and engineering teams, and it’s rooted in Alpine history too. An 80mm wider body and ground clearance increased by 60mm make it more like the classic rally cars Alpine used to be known for – and more specifically the winning A110 from the 1972 Monte Carlo Rally.
Apart from that, there’s little else information given on the concept. We’ll update this article when we know more.
