I've been looking for TG America on the PVR for the last week now and its got bloody Gladiator on instead. Anyone else in Canada have this same issue?

gotta watch out, "History Television" in Canada is not the same channel as "History" in the US.

I don't even know about a broadcaster in Canada that has "History" in its lineup... maybe if you had an US satellite subscription?

Or maybe if a Top Gear based fansite existed, where one could find said TV show.

You're not going to find it, as already noted, History Television in Canada is a related, but totally separate channel than History in the USA...thank you CRTC.

Snag a torrent in about 1hr15min or so when it goes up.

I'm really disapointed, I was looking forward to watching this on TV right after Walking Dead, but now I have to wait an hour or more....

Waaa. The show aires at 7pm PST for your and the torrent's up within an hour or so...watching either late that night or with your corn flakes on Monday morning...life's so hard.

I downloaded it monday. I chosed almost only French channels (except BBC Canada) on my Illico. I am used not to have my Top Gear not live now ! :p

Kind of makes we wonder why they didn?t just do a TG North America and have at least one host from Canada? Seems to me that would have opened a bigger market and a bigger market equals more $ after all both countries drive the same cars and trucks. But then they would have to do both 0 to 60 mph and 0 to 100 kms lol.

There is a spot on the History Television web site where you can suggest shows you would like them to have. Maybe if enough of us requested Top Gear they might add it to there lineup. Or maybe we just need our own Top Gear it could be a great new show for the CBC.

BBC Canada never shown any Top Gear uk shows live
They only show them a few months after it got aired
The most recent ones are showing on saturday nights at 7PM for season 15 right now

but Canadian top gear will be how people in Alberta like their trucks, BC people like their hybrids and New Brunswickers like their sunfires.

Honestly though, I think its a great idea but there aren't many places in Canada where there is a usable track still. I know Calabogie and others in Ont/Quebec and Calgary's is only good for one more year. BC's mission track isn't great and unless you want a lap to take 2 days, Saskatchewan is out as well.

I think it'd be tough to do. But at least we could have year round TGE(Top Gear Eh?, sorry, had to do it) with ice racing and snowmobiles. Next on TGE, Ice Casino Challenge. How much do you want to bet that the car in front of you still has summer tires on in this ice storm. stay tuned at the body shop to tally the winners.

those are few and far between. Edmonton's is being developed and has been the site of the Edmonton Indy the last few years.

Oh god, do we really have this reputation. I thought something this snobby would be reserved for Toronto. Damn.

Its ok, I'm originally from NB myself. And I've got some friends in BC, mind you they drive race corvettes. Its really odd how Vancouver area has the Lambo and Lotus dealership + loads of other exotics yet the political climate is very green.

They have to appeal to everyone's different tastes.

And i think the hybrids are only so big in B.C. because of the government laws saying that all service type vehicles have to be ultra low emissions, or better. Someone able to explain this better from B.C.?

The Lambo's and Lotus's are there just for the actors who want to pretend they live in Canada, to make them feel comfortable provided with the comforts they would have back in L.A.

I know the owner of the Lotus dealer. He's my friend's "uncle". (and I put quotations because he's one of those fake uncles)

I've gotten some pretty sweet rides around in lotus' before. (around mission raceway was the best)
