No Crown Vic, list isinvalideurocentric.
I'm being serious here - the 240 made station wagons popular. It was reliable, with the Turbo it was fairly quick. It was built for nearly 20 years. It created/reshaped the image of the family car. If you are going to have stuff like the Focus, 2CV, Panda, Renault 5 in there, you might as well include the 240. Not a great driver's car, but its impact was just as big as these other ones.
Where did it make wagons popular? They used to be a lot more popular here, and long before the 240.

What is the Alfasud doing in that list?
"It was a trendsetter, laying the foundations for the new breed of hatchbacks, including the VW Golf. Even though it was a saloon.
Great handling, it's an accomplished rust bucket."
