Carbage

That. Looks. HORRENDOUS. I'm so glad that someone else owns that car, and is seen with it.

Seen yesterday:

Greetings, lip

Is that Huoneistokeskus Racing Orange?

Volkswagon "Brilliant Orange" i think :p

I know a guy who has a 106 painted this colour, actually suits the car. And stands out. however this escort is wrong, so wrong.

Edit: It's disturbing i know the paint name, but i work in Halfords, I'm not just mental about paint or something.

A Finnish estate agent (Huoneistokeskus) has used painfully orange Opels for something like 30 years. There's some variation, though, since I've seen vinyled-over Toyotas etc recently in the same use. That's where the "Racing Orange" comes from

Call me what you like, but I say orange Opels are not carbage. In the 1970's and 1980's that was a common colour on Opels. Even my parents had a Opel Rekord Kombi in "Autobahn maintenance" orange dayglow at that time.

Yeah, that applies more to the Escort shown earlier with the hue seemingly applied with a paintball gun.

The orange escort reminds me of a car I used to see in my neighbourhood. It was a red Fiesta mkVI. The owner (18yo, judging by his look) had somehow decided that the car would have looked much better with an aggressive two colour pattern and had painted the whole lower part of the car in black, front and rear bumper included.

That would have already looked carbage in pretty much every car, particularly a basic 1.2l petrol Fiesta, even if done with proper care and technique, but the guy decided to do it himself using a... paintbrush. Yep... Bumpy matt black paint showing some red stripes where the colour was too thin (using two coats of paint is not necessary, is it?).

Ok, that was stage 1. Now it gets worse.

A couple of months later he got out of his madness for a few moments and realized that a single colour would have suited the car better. Then... it was lost again...He had to choose between the original red and the "housemade" black, and he chose black. The whole car was painted in black. By paintbrush, clearly.

Ghastly. I hoped for someone to burn the car down and put it out of its misery.

After another couple of months... I realized that maybe a god of taste and dignity could have existed, after all, and had touched the guy. The car was red again. Unfortunately, madness is not so likely to let someone go free that easily, and the black coat of paint had been removed by... I don't know... but definitely not in the proper way. The car was now a mess of shiny and matt red covered with black and white thin lines, where too few or too many layers had been removed.

The car remained this way for another two or three months... then I never saw it again. Probably the guy sold it and changed it. I pray that no other car will follow the same fate of this poor old red Fiesta.

just saw a ibiza with fake/aftermarket leds running audi style under the headlights.

What in the name of all thats holy is that?

Does the license plate on that limovan really say "MICROCAR"?

Aren't Microcars those tiny ones powered by ~500cc diesel engines and can be driven with just a moped licence? If this is the case, how the hell is that "limo" model for example going to get up even a little hill? :p

You can have more people with you to help push it.

You cut holes in the floor and use your legs, flindstone style.
