- This is a civilized nation with good infrastructure (good roads) and access to fuel.
- You don't need to worry too much about fuel range or baggage - put your crap in the camera car.
- You need to buy a good bike that will be safe and fun to ride
- You will leave the bike behind to be sold when you are done - ideally for more than you purchased it for (let's say in the US market). Buy low, sell high.
- You will be with others on bikes, so think about how you want to ride on twisty roads and your relative pace to the group.
