NSW Police first Mustang getting outfitted ready for operational tests.

Due to the current 2 main Australian Police cars ending production they are starting to look into what they can replace them with, the Mustang which has only just gone on sale in Australia is a possible choice for the replacement however early rumors say it isn't doing very well in the Police braking requirements.

Someone drained all the color out of its tail lights.

I wonder if it had the track pack brakes?

Do you have the source for this? I want to send it to some of the Mustang guys at work.

Euro, Asian and Australian Mustangs get cleared out taillights to accommodate the required amber turn signal.

And I'm almost positive all export 5.0s get the performance pack which includes the 6 pot Brembos.

Agreed, unless the outgoing cars were FPV or the like.

Outgoing cars (Fords) all had FPV brake upgrade and the Holdens also had some form of police pack brakes.

The test is repetitive high speed stops testing for brake fade etc.

Source is just a few people in the industry that outfit the cars for police use.
