Tired of Astras and VWs police cars?
Just look to Abu Dhabi which are the interceptor chase cars!

what's the window on the hood for?

Well, it does make sense to have GTRs as Police cars in a country wich has (prob) the highest numbers of Ferraris per head ... what good would be Diesel-Astra as a police-car there? You wouldn?t even have the slightest chance of ever catching someone ...

But I have to disagree with you ... on the point of "coolest policecar ever" ...

These two trump the GT-R in coolness by far ... IMO (of course)

On second thought ... isn?t the GT-r limited to 180 km/h (112mp/h) on normal roads? I correct myself here ... a Astra Diesel would be a BETTER police-car than the GT-R ... the Astra diesel does 210km/h max ...

wait, what??? the GTR is limited to 112mph????

It?s only the GT-R?s sold in Japan that is limited

I have two heard explanations.
1. hud
2. deflector that protects the light bar from being torn off during highspeed pursuit/minimizes drag of the aforementioned light bar

Looks like only highway interceptors get the hood thing so I'm going to say it's a drag/spray-deflector.

GT'R 's as police cars? If their cops are as good at driving then ours their gonna run out of budget in a month..... Every time they hit something even lightly the hood will pop up and it will cost them 11.000 bucks to get the damn thing back down :p

then again this is oilrabia where talking about.....I don't think budget is an issue .

Here we go again...

*checks watch* Yup, right on time... again.

I was thinking of hooligans just hitting the sensor on the front as they walk by.

Whops! I didnt realized this. I'd say is a bullet proof film to protect from windshield shoots without disturbing too much driving vision...
And isnt this a strange place to put a hud?

That nerd of a car will never be cool. However, the Camaro is in my top ten coolest police cars.
