Coolest police car ever!

Which, if you're a sheriff, I'm sure it's rather stressful, wouldn't beat nice a perk to use your own car instead of some run of mill car the force uses?

The perfect police car for pursuits in crowded cities:

That's not a real police car.

First off, it says "County Sheriff" but it doesn't say what county. The seal is also pretty generic-looking:

Also, it says on the door "Keeping the peace since 1961." Loving County was the last county in Texas to be incorporated, and that was in 1931.

And why would a Texas sheriff send his truck to Germany to be modified? There are plenty of tuners in Texas who could have done that.

Another amazingly cool police car:

Looks like it's a RCMP VIP transport.

They run tarted up Mercury Grand Marquis (among others) partially due to fact mechanically identical to the CVPI that they use and they a little more luxurious. Location is a giveaway along with the plates.

We've got something coolish patrolling the roads of Finland nowadays.

It's a CLS 350 CDI Shooting Brake 4Matic modified for police (ab)use. A big Finnish car magazine bought this for the highway patrol department because of their 60th birthday.

Also, no front plate and no windshield stickers for inspection and registration, both of which are required by law even on Texas law enforcement vehicles. And the 'officer' looks to have the handcuffs just tied to his belt, something real uniformed cops don't do (they all have belt-mounted cuff carriers.)

Another amazingly cool police car:

Has any department turned a Marauder into a cop car?

EDIT: Googling 'Marauder police' didn't bring anything up, but googling 'Lincoln Town Car police' got be this in the first line of results :?

Those are the Marauders the Florida Highway Patrol used back in 03-04.

Is there some plot relevance to it being a US car, or did they just want a vintage 911 and didn't care what it looked like?

Its just used as a cool car, doubt its a US car...

I think the UK version of the show uses a 944, US version uses crap

Most boring police car thread is thataway =>
