Diecast Models

Could be worse....
I still have a Lancia Beta in a shed.

talking about rust...
there was nothing wrong with the car except rust. that's something the MOT doesn't like :-(

After some months I finally built my second Bergsboo-cabinet
and like to show you my whole collection

That is a very impressive collection, but it's a bit cramped for my taste.

However, I would rather buy some smaller cabinets where the more "special" models (Koenigsegg, Veyron, McLaren F1) have more room for themselves and don't stand somewhere amongst the masses. The orange Koenigsegg in the third row from the bottom is lost somehow... :(

Btw: I extended my collection, too, but as I'm a bit short on cash at the moment (just bought a car in size 1:1 with proper engine and so on :p ) I'm waiting for bargains like today, as I grabbed an Autoart Panoz GTR-1 for 32 Euro shipped in an auction. I'll post pics of the models I didn't present sometime next week or so when there is enough light outside.

Collecting scale 18 you have to do compromises.
Some day I buy a house and a big Turnhalle for all my models :D

Here's some photo's of my 1:18 F1 cars...

Interesting trend. The 30's-50's F1 cars have no-one in them. The 90's have 2 people, and the 00's have 1 person.

Taken on an iPhone 4, sorry.

Also, as far as i know. The Auto Union, Maserati, Mercedes, Williams and McLaren are reasonably hard to get hold of today.

Alright, here the models I obtained in the last few months, all from AutoArt except the V8 quattro DTM which is a Minichamps-model.

Here are my new ones.

Got the fiesta, looks good and pretty accurate. Even the interior.
The only bummer is that the mirrors have come of :idiot:, but nothing super glue can't fix :dunno:

Does anyone know where to get spare Ferrari stickers? I just got a brand new Hot Wheels 360 and it's missing the "SF" shields that go on the front fenders. :(

Sorry, I couldn't find any on ebay. Would you be so kind as to help me find some? I found an example of a transkit and it turns a normal 360 into a racing model, which I don't want; I just want the shield stickers.

Thanks, but I'm probably not gonna bother if they cost $10 for a little sheet with stickers on them.

Holy massive pictures Batman!

fixed it. Sorry. :)

also fixed the mirrors

Two new entries in my collection, both from AutoArt again. :)

I always wanted an Audi Sport quattro, now I have one, for less than 70 ? shipped. :) Look at the bootlid, the "COUPE"-writing and the rear fog lights are behind smoked glass, as well as the rear lights. The engine bay is very detailed, too.

And I have been to a modelcar dealer in town and just couldn't resist the Porsche 928. It was the last one he got in stock and he said the ones which he orders will be 10 to 15 Euro more than what I paid.

Oh, and I bought a "light-tent" to make better photos without reflections and an even background, as you can see. I have to straighten it out since it was folded together in the box but that won't be a problem.

[edit]
As I was already on it, I took pics of other models I got in the last few months, too.

Porsche 917 long tail season 1971 with Martini-livery (AutoArt)

Audi R8 (Kyosho, this one is a model I have temporary from a friend who is in Australia for one year)

Porsche 997 Turbo (Norev, they did a pretty good job for that price, albeit the daytime running lights were attached the wrong way, right one on the left side and vice versa, so the curvature was wrong)

[/edit]

Nice Additions haste da :)

@ll,

Finally made it

But for me it was a really pain in the ass.
Screws on Mirror, no Problem, but screws on Spoiler

Anyway, it all ended up the best way and I?m proud.
I built this myself....well at least fixed some screws

Awesome.

I managed to pick this up yesterday...

The doors are a bit iffy, but it's a great model overall.
