Since the old thread is from 2016 I thought we'd need a new one... :p

Tomorrow the VLN at the Nürburgring (GP circuit + Nordschleife) starts again. :) There will be a livestream from 11:15h CET, start is at noon CET.

Another race at the Nürburgring, this time the qualification race for the 24h race. Currently live until 18:00h CET.

The new BR1 tends to crash rather a lot! Poor Jenson Button is due to test this soon!

For those in the US, the Velocity Channel is showing the entire 24 Hours. It's like the Speedvision days!

Well, in the end Toyota got their Le Mans win, a 1-2 even...

Also, 1-2 for the Porsche 911 RSR "Pink Pig" and "Rothmans" tribute-cars in LM GTE-Pro, and a win for Patrick Dempsey in LM-GTE-Am

Fun fact: The original "Pink Pig" 917 didn't finish it's race back in 1971, it crashed out with Reinhold Joest at the wheel after a brake failure during the night.

Both Tony Kanaan in the #67 Ford GT and Scott Dixon in the #69 car did not complete the mandated minimum of six hours in their respective cars across the course of the race.

Kanaan completed only five hours and 16 minutes, with the missing time converted into completed laps based on the car's fastest lap in the race.

The result is that Kanaan and teammates Harry Tincknell and Andy Priaulx have lost 11 laps and have therefore dropped from fourth in class to 12th.

Dixon's penalty is less severe, with the #69 car - which spent the final two hours of the race in the garage with an electrical issue anyway - docked two laps and remaining 14th in class.

Damn, those are rookie mistakes... What about those penalties for doing too many laps in a single stint or putting in too much fuel for #7? How careless did they get?

with a mandated design, to be used by all the teams, how did they expect this to go unnoticed?

Faster refueling times were a bit of a give away, but why didn't they do something about it in the race.

Great pass
