Yeah, I'd love to see Mid-Ohio or Virginia in the game, and I could go on for weeks why they should drop the 30,000 different Skylines and Evos for more selection, but this is what the Forza community wants.
I was a bit surprised at that statement, since for me the Forza series is distinctly lacking in the 'variations' department.
There is no Evo III or IV, both of which are legendary cars in their own rights and certainly deserve inclusion. Forza 2 never even had an R33 Skyline GT-R, let alone an FR version of all three (of the recent ones, R32/R33/R34) despite the FR's being hugely popular cars.
Forza 3 doesn't even appear to have an AE86 Levin (from the car list I read anyway, correct me if this is wrong) which is certainly a travesty in itself given how legendary that car is.
It's not just about Japanese cars either, they miss out a huge variety of cars that certainly deserve inclusion.
I'm still waiting to see a Sierra Cosworth in one of these games, but since none of them seem capable of even putting in the Escort Cosworth I don't hold out much hope. These are two legendary cars that certainly stand out and would be a great addition to any driving game.
They have an EG6 in Forza 3, but it's only a 1.5 litre engine and whilst I'm not a huge expert on Civic's, I'm relatively sure that the best EG6 has a 1.6 litre B16A engine. To not include that car with that engine baffles me, especially since visually it's essentially identical.
I'm sure similar things could be said about some of the American cars they've missed out, or not included important versions of.
As for the countdown rev thing, I will certainly be annoyed if it remains the way it is for the final game. If you must have the fancy view changes to show of your pretty modeling skills then at least give us full control of the revs for those three seconds.
