First car show I've been to this summer. Really nice weather, good turn out of cars. My camera died after 4 shots so these are all phone pics I couldn't really see the screen as the sun was so bright so quality is pretty low!
Important things first, my car and it's neighbor, another 1976 Dolomite 1850HL. This one was an automatic with Sprint alloys which was restored a couple of years ago for over ?8000, it was for sale for ?3250 as the owner had bought a Sprint, he bought it from the guy who restored it for ?4000.
Next up the empty space where the 1300 was going to be, it's never actually made it to Fraserburgh car show in the time I've owned it.
Further up the row was this 1500HL. Nice condition but I don't like the colour or the unpainted alloys, it did have an overdrive gearbox though.
Now Minis!
Also, fast comes in various sizes:
I followed this Hillman Imp to the show, it smelt of burning...
I didn't have the shonkiest Triumph at the show either, that award goes to this Herald.
Ovlov Amazon.
Ford Zephyr Six from the early/mid 50s.
Yank Tanks.
One owner from new, 1960 Anglia.
Hillman Super Minx, and early one with the wrap-around rear screen.
Jowett Javellin, a car built in Yorkshire, where I'm from.
Fancy early 50s Hillman Minx.
More traditional cars in the form of a Riley and Alvis.
Original and unrestored, wearing it's years very well.
I was out yellowed by a van.
A DKW, not everyday you see one of these!
Very rusty Honda, Jap tin of this era are like hens teeth.
Cortina Mk3, 2-door in metallic bronze. ALL OF MY WANT.
Reliant Scimitar, the previous owner of my 1850HL now has one of these...
Wee bit of a size difference here...
