It wasn't a terrible car: its looks have a dorky charm and it was considered reliable by 70s American standards. If I had an infinite garage and infinite money, I'd have one.

Then again, I'd also have a Vega (engine problems aside, it's a sexy-looking beast and with a better engine...) so my taste is questionable.

The Vega has other problems than the engine.

Anyway, the Gremlin never matched the Pacer in coolness.

In Mexico they (VAM) made Pacers and Gremlins with a 4.6 liter version of the AMC six motor.

The Gremlin is my of my guilty pleasure cars. It's just so funky I don't care that it's total crap.

Certainly better than the fucking Pacer. Fuck that thing. Even in their ads the guys all like "LOL WTF??"
