Should be hilarious.

Urgh...a bunch of muppets in fast cars doing idiotic shit:/

They came through Salt Lake a while ago. As I recall they made a ton of money for our state.

theres a thread in the request thread.

The official Gumball youtube page has this... which should fill the gap until we get a rip.

Linky

The Gumball idiots are the kind of people that give sports car ownership/driving, motorsports and being a petrolhead in general a bad name.

The original Cannonball back in the 70s was a bad idea, but with the amount traffic has increased in the last 35 years, holding a cross-country race on public roads is a bad idea, especially when most of your drivers are rich people's kids who don't know what "responsibility" means and will just jump in the back-up car after running over a group of disabled lesbian black pensioners.

its always interesting to see what exotica comes up in gumball everytime, i would literally watch it just for the cars and sometimes the people do cool things, but otherwise, i would agree with everyone else, dumb rich guys doing dumb things.

edit: more like trying to catch the ocational hot chic and i don't want to know anymore than that she is hot and funny shit, not cool things. i will justify that they have not done anything cool.

In the quiet words of the virgin mary, come again?

someone had a litte surprise in Ontario, Canada http://www.cbc.ca/cp/Oddities/TG3511.html

and for the trip between Qu?bec City and Toronto, there was more than 75 police cars along the highway, some escorting the cars (at the speed limit) and others doing speed traps along the way. The police was very strict, giving for example a ticket for doing 122km/h in a 100km/h zone (75 in a 60), loud exhaust tickets, tickets for not using turn signals, etc.

I don't think they'll come back in Canada :dunno:

Meh to the Gumball 3000. You want to do a cross country quasi-rally go do One Lap of America. Now those guys are real drivers. Drive their cars to 9 race tracks in eight days and have a cross country time attack.

I admit that I like these videos, mostly because they manage to do really unordinary things, but... that's just the wrong way of doing them.

In the end, they don't have any reason whatsoever for what they do, if not the fun brought about by transgression, and that's not a good reason to do something. They don't choose to do, they need to do it to get their fix of "fun". They clearly got too much money and too much spare time to waste. They should really be doing something more constructive.

Oh, and most of their cars are tasteless.

really?? you wont even get pulled over for 10 over the limit here... 80 in 65 is a ticket... 100 in a 65 is grounds for arrest but that never happens... ever

Up to 10 over the limit --> 10 Bucks fine (no one really bothers with this, the paperwork is just not worth it)
11 to 15 -> 20 Bucks (see above)
15 to 20 -> 30 Bucks (some counties are in fact broke enough to go for this money)
21 to 25 -> 70 Bucks, 1 month suspended license if you're a repeat offender.

You have to do 41 (31 within city limits) over the limit to get a suspension in a first offense. The general rule is to stay less than twenty above the limit.

Wow. And I thought California was loose on speed limits. (You are using MPH, right?)

I like the Gumball. There are few other events that manage to pack so many people I dislike into one place. It's easier to laugh at them that way. It's also sad that there are a few respectable people that do it as well.

If you get caught doing over 116kph in a 80 zone here (regular highway speedlimit) you are gonna loose your license for at least 3 months... usually at least 6 months and if you have had your license for less then 2 years you will have to do all the classes needed for a license again. and doing 116kph in an 80 zone will probably cost you 850?/1300$/1000? 'ish

probably why gumball never will visit norway :p
