I meant to ask, what's the manual like to shift?? Seems a bit weird to have the stick sticking out of this material that's concave rather than what I'm used to (stick covered in faux-leather all over).

I'm sure it's just the same, but it looks odd.
I like it. I'm used to the gator on typical manuals like my old GTI had, but this one is so cool. It's very notchy, and on that little raised bit around the shifter base the shift pattern is engraved so there is no chance of being in the wrong gear. I dunno, it's not that much different, but it's so smooth and clean now.

I prefer the modern-esque design to the usual gator now.

Edit: Oh, and my dad and I are going to be to going to shoot some shots tomorrow morning. The car isn't totally clean, but we're just specking some locals.

It's very notchy,
Does it make you feel more manly? hahaha, the Golf's gear change is just so easy but then on the odd occasion I drive Dad's and have to put some manly effort into moving the stick:cool:

I actually love that to bits! More cars should have manuals like that.

Wait.. is it a manual? That shifter looks awesome.

Yeah she's a 6 speed. When I first saw it I thought it was an auto too just because I've always been conditioned to think gator = manual. Here's the Difference:

Manual:

Sigh I wish I had the phone option just to fill in the little cubby hole I have in the dash, but it was only available on the Euro Rs. Actually this interior is an '04s so you can see it has a different head unit stereo, and the dash is missing the brushed aluminium accents. Plus the slide cover for the cup holders.

Automatic ("GT"):

I just got back from taking some pics with my dad, but he had to take his car to the shop. I'm gonna try to figure out how to take the memory card out of his Nikon D300 and upload them.

Ok finally got some better shots. Sorry for the simply mammoth size of these, but I couldn't really resize on my computer cause it would crash it immediately.

edit: WTF Phyrefile? I have to get to class and just spent the last 30 minutes trying to upload these damn things. I'll have to resize every one when I get back.

Hey good buy. The main design problem with all S60's is the lack of legroom in the back and the trunk opening isn't that big. My dad's got a decently new 2.5T and it feels more solid than any other car we've owned.
One more thing, you'll eventually notice that the turning circle is huge for a midsize sedan.
Oh and put some videos up, the dials look awesome in motion.

Oh dear god I know... turning radius is the only downfall of this car, well that and it weighs a lot.

Ok I resized and rehosted some of the pics, here we go:

I gotta make a phone call and wash her, I'll put the rest up later.

Here's the rest of the good ones. I am by no means a good photographer, that's all my dad's m.o., but I think all these came out kinda cool:

Me and my two babies haha:

What can we say that hasn't been said before No Boss? Looking good man.

Though I'd jump on some new wheels soon. If I'm honest the one thing I don't much care for on your R are the rather generic looking wheels.

But fantastic otherwise!
