Since not everyone is familiar with a forum and its technical possibilities, I thought I'd make a quick tutorial on how to embed a Youtube video in your post. So let's do it step by step:
1. Find the video code of the clip
If you want to post a Youtube video on the FinalGear forums, you likely are on Youtube.com already. If you found it embedded on another website, move your mouse cursor to the lower right corner of the video over the Youtube logo. A small info balloon saying "Watch on YouTube" appears:

If you click the logo, the same video will open directon on Youtube. What you are after is the code of the video, which is to be found in the address bar of your internet browser for every video (I highlighted it for demonstration purposes):
https://pic.armedcats.net/t/th/the_interceptor/2009/08/11/02_-_address_bar.PNG
This code is specific for every clip and links directly to the video you'd like to embed. Sometimes, the code is caught in a seemingly chaotic bunch of commands. But keep calm, since it can always be easily identified as a short string of characters and numbers to be found at this very position:
http: //www.youtube.com/watch?v=th_RpBbioco&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fforums.finalgear.com%2Fvideo-offers%2Fedited-some-slow-motion-supercar-footage-from-last-summer-38138%2F&feature=player_embedded
Highlight the code by moving your mouse cursor between the equals sign and the first character of the video code, press and hold down the left mouse button, move the mouse cursor to the end of the video code and release the button. Then press the keys <CTRL> and <C> on your keyboard to copy the code into the clipboard of your computer.
2. Open a post on the FinalGear forums and embed the video
Having retreived the video code, you can open your post on this forum. Given you're finished the surroundting text (if there is any), click on the Youtube button in the symbol bar of your text editor:
https://pic.armedcats.net/t/th/the_interceptor/2009/08/11/03_-_youtube_button.PNG
It will generate a set of tags to put your video in. If you know HTML, you will know these tags. If you don't: the tags simply indicate the beginning and the end of a specific command. In this case, the beginning of your Youtube command is identified by "[ YOUTUBE ]", the end (always to be recognised by the forward slash before the command) by "[ /YOUTUBE ].
Now, all you have to do is put your video code inbetween those tags. To do so, you click right between the end of the start and the beginning of the end tag (...TUBE]here![/YOU...]) and press <CTRL> and <V> on your keyboard to post the video code. What you should end up with is something like this:
https://pic.armedcats.net/t/th/the_interceptor/2009/08/11/04_-_youtube_tags_and_code.PNG
It is vital that you only post the code of the video. If you put less or more than that between the tags, the video will not play!
3. Check if the embedding works
Chances are you've made an error, or that the uploader forbid to embed the video externally. Whichever way fate struck, you should invest the few seconds to check whether the embedding works by clicking the "Preview Post" button, located below your forum's text editor. If you did everything right, your video should come up like this:
https://pic.armedcats.net/t/th/the_interceptor/2009/08/11/05_-_embedded_video.PNG
If it doesn't, go to your post and check if everything is alright. Are the Youtube tags intact? Is the code complete? If you get an empty Youtube video frame with an error message, the tags are good, but the code is messed up. Every other problem can go in this thread in the future I suppose.
Klankymen added the option of advanced embedding, which will give your video a configurable title. Check out how to do that in the post right after this one.
Good luck!
