Japantastic (56K warning)

So many cars from that era were light, RWD and cheap/easy to mod. Engines swaps were easy and cheap, too. Fun times.

My first car was a '72 Mk I Escort, that would have been a perfect candidate but lucky for her she escaped unscathed.

Time for some European cars.

I dont think much can be done to improve the Cayenne, but obviously you can make it worse!

Awesome...

This guy had a Ferrari, Lambo and Maserati on his glass garage, and a Celsior parked outside. Im undecided about glass garages, I like to see the cars, but it does seem ostentatious.

I don't see your comment, what happened?

It's been a while. Here's some randomness...

Funny when you see a Maybach just parked somewhere random, and you hardly notice it. It really is pretty awful.

The next group of cars were all parked on the same street, almost head to toe.

Saw a Bugatti EB110 yesterday.

And this strange collection covered in dust in the hardware store parking lot, the next day one Aston was replaced with another, a Shooting Brake.

There was a car show on base today and I headed out to it not expecting much. I was in for a nice surprise.

Firstly, some classic Japanese metal.

Now for something completely different. I totally didn't expect to see anything like these there.

This Porsche was gorgeous. Metallic brown paint over dark brown leather. Sexy!

Ooh pretty! Also note the M6 in the background.

Some American muscle showed up too. Unfortunately some carbage showed up as well.

I forgot just how big these old Yank Tanks are after being around little Japanese cars for so long. This one had a Toyota V8 under the hood.

It wouldn't be Japan if you didn't see something weird. :p

The local dealer is selling this Raptor. It's very impressive, and that's coming from someone who doesn't like pickup trucks.

I believe I have a link to a site for the build, let me see...

Is this it? Insane stuff, he built it all himself.

Came across Style Wagon (magazine) Dress Up Meeting the other day. There are nearly 200 pics so I won't post them all, you'll have to visit the blog, but feel free to post pics from there in here if you want.
