some more fall:

I've been ridiculously busy lately, just had time to browse through this thread... some great photos over the last few pages!

A pic I took this weekend really wish I had and CP filter.

From that photo at least, it looks like the sky is pretty cloudy/hazy... so the CP probably wouldn't have made too much difference.

Here's a shot from me:

^ Awww, that's because I didn't check this thread untill now, I love cats :wub: it's really cute :D

And with fall comes all these little critters around where I live.
They're really tame, and luckily enough I bumped into a workmate with his family who provided me with a couple of nuts to lure them in to get decent pictures.
I knelt down to shoot the first one I approached, it glimpsed the nut and pelted towards me like a bloody rocket. I was looking down the camera lens so all I got was a great big grey mass, so I fell over out of surprise, scared the crap out of it, and it buggered off at the same speed. :p
Got some shots of them in the end though. I was surrounded by about 15 when they saw the nuts I was carrying.

Jayhawk, your last three shots are amazing - apart from the one with the flag, how much time do you put into editing them?

Wow, thanks! :) The flag picture I just cropped out the pole, the stones picture I just desaturated, turned down the brightness a little, turned up the contrast, and the turn signal picture I just used the circular tool in PS, then desaturated what was not selected. Nikon cameras seems to like to exaggerate reds and oranges, so I adjust accordingly. Truth be known, I usually let PS adjust the photo, then I color correct if red is overwhelming.

Another PS pic for the day. :D

Staying with cats :p

I like that pic alot, Andy. The barriers in the middle really give contrast to the straight lines of the poles. Almost like integrals.

Took this one a while ago (2 years) on a Kodak P&S;
