If there is, we're also unlikely to see it/photograph it because of the damn light pollution. At least I think it's better in San Diego than in Riverside?

It's slightly better, I mean, I can see the stars. But I've never attempted to do star trails here in the city. I guess I could go nearer to the ocean and try it out sometime. Maybe tonight?

One good thing about a super isolated city is that you don't need to go too far away to get at least half the sky dark enough.

(the aurora was fading at this point and we were going back home, it was still going on though dimmer when I finally went to sleepy times)
