Oooooh! I like!

"Sunset in suburbia". Yesterday I splurged and bought myself a Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 prime lens, which I used for this shot. No tripod, no photoshop. I. LOVE. THIS. LENS! What you see is exactly how the picture will come out. It was steal at $125.00 USD, why didn't I buy this before? What do you think?

A little bit, yeah. I try to not touch it as little as possible; last time I cleaned it was....oh boy, September.

And just for you, notice how the subject for once is not crooked? I actually think about you and all the times you remind me every time I take a picture. See how much you influence my life? :p

oh and while Alok was on the subject of 50mm prime..... yep, took all these with the canon 50mm F1.8 mkII. it might be a badly made bit of kit but it works quite nicely. not much PS done on the shots, one or two say the shadows and highlight treatment, the rest just got unsharp masked and saved.

thanks for the compliment Jay :)

What exactly does the unsharp mask do?

not entirely sure but despite its name, which for me implies that it would make things less sharp, it sharpens an image. erm i asssume that it does a better job that just using sharpen, but then again i dont know much except that it seems to do a nice job so long as you keep the radius down or else things look a bit silly.
