Donald Trump's Pipe Bomb Hypocrisy
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/nadie-dorries-slams-brexit-deal-leave-remain-jk-rowling-a8639216.htmlTheresa May’s Brexit deal has been slammed by arch-leave MP Nadine Dorries – because it means the UK will be left without any Members of the European Parliament.
The Tory backbencher, who campaigned tirelessly to get the country out of Europe, said Ms May's deal would leave the UK without any influence in Europe.
“This is a very sad place to be,” she told Sky News. “But unfortunately, the future of the country and of our relationship with Europe is at stake. This deal gives us no voice, no votes, no MEPs, no commissioner.”
Sorry for interrupting the "funny" here again, but while that short statement is hilarious and I am not siding with that woman - the short soundbit is taken out of context. It's a classical example of how you can take short statements out of context and make someone look stupid. If you watch the whole Intervie, she's making a longer argument about Britian not getting what they want from Brexit, having to pay the EU a lot of money - and not getting any say (parliment etc) in EU matters anymore in return. It's not that she's oblivious to the fact that Brexit means "no political influence on EU anymore", she complains that they sacrifice their influence - but get nothing for it. That's not the same as "duh, she doesn't know that leaving the EU means leaving the EU Parliment! Supid, lol!".Karoug;n3554926 said:I feel this deserves a mention,,
https://www.sbs.com.au/news/finns-tr...vent-wildfiresFinland’s president isn’t sure where President Donald Trump got the idea that raking is part of his country’s routine for managing its substantial forests.
Trump told reporters Saturday while visiting the ruins of the Northern California town where a fire killed at least 76 people that wildfires weren’t a problem in Finland because crews “spend a lot of time on raking and cleaning and doing things” to clear forest floors.

Finns woke up to find their country was trending on social media and the comment has inspired them to demonstrate their forest "raking and cleaning" abilities on Twitter.
