As it started today, I figured I might as well get a thread up for it, as I couldn't find one.

Wikipedia said:
Marvel's Agent Carter, or simply Agent Carter, is an American television series created for ABC by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, inspired by the films Captain America: The First Avenger and Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and the Marvel One-Shot short film of the same name. It is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), sharing continuity with the films of the franchise.

The series features the Marvel Comics character Peggy Carter, with Hayley Atwell reprising her role from the film series, as she must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark while trying to navigate life as a single woman in 1940s America. Several characters from Marvel Cinematic Universe films appear throughout the series. It is produced by ABC Studios and Marvel Television, with Tara Butters, Michele Fazekas, and Chris Dingess serving as showrunners.

Oh yeah, and my first impressions:

- it feels like E01 and E02 could easily have been 1 episode only
- and while it was ok overall and I will keep watching for now, for a pilot (although not really named as one) it was imo rather weak

I enjoyed it, it'll be neat to see how it ties into the history of the MCU. Great music, too!

I also liked it a lot. It seems more like a premise to set up the story proper, and not the classic pilot where they have one hour to woo prospective broadcasters. I think it's due to the luxury of it being in the MCU. And the Caro Emerald at the beginning as a nice surprise. Especially since that song came out in this decade.

Yeah, next week is this season's final episode, but there's very strong and persistent rumours of the show being part of a greater plot in the whole MCU, so a second season wouldn't be a surprise.

Hey, at least Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. begins again the week after.

Has that gotten any good? I only watched the pilot and found it quite awful.

Agent Carter I quite like. The show has potential, but has yet to really "hook" me.

Well, first half, or more maybe, of season one of Agents is pretty bad, but towards the end it got better, which continued into season 2, it's solid now.
Not as good as Agent Carter though, at least not for me.
