Mini Roadtrip to Ringmeet 2015 [Short German Roadtrip]

So, after Matt and I are finished doing video recording for the day, how's we all jump into as few cars as possible and head over to Onkel Otto's for some schnitzel?

That's a 120km round trip when people will already have done quite a bit of driving. I vote asking the campsite what's good locally.

Thinking about it at least here many restaurants aren't open on Mondays to give staff a night off. Might be worth one of the native German speakers ringing the campsite and asking beforehand if they know somewhere that does decent food, will be open on the Monday evening and can cope with a booking of around a dozen otherwise we could be looking at Clarkson levels of hangry multiplied.

If you are in 'Schland and the closest town has a name beginning with "Bad" I don't think that is going to be a problem, do you? You might struggle for a chicken tikka biryani but I think it's safe to assume there will be schnitzel within a reasonable radius.

These two are open on Monday:

Didn't look much further, but we'll have some options I think.

EDIT: The Wildbacher Hof seems reasonable, their reviews are decent, the prices seem appropriate and they even have Schnitzel for ?14,40. I'll give them a call later and place a reservation with you lot agree.

You guys will be in Schwarzwald. EVERY restaurant there will have Schnitzel. It's basically what they do there. That, and Cuckoo clocks.

And some cake too, I have heard.

I'll try to cross austria via b roads if the weather is nice, so i have no idea when i'll be there. Probably between 3 and 5 pm.

And I picked up Viper's and Quiky's camping gear today.

Yay, thanks! It would have been a nightmare trying to fit it in my luggage or having to stop to buy it all once we get there. <3

I'm a real sucker for that cake, however 80s and clich? it may seem over here.

Anyway, hope your AC works people.

Can't really reconcile sleeping in tents and needing AC. Either you're a man or you're not.

I like to cover a broad spectrum, my tent has lights inside and requires no skill and minimal effort to put up. :p

My tent only requires skill to fold back up :p

Also, no AC in the e30. But i have a sunroof. Works almost as good. :)
