Mongrel engine swaps: improving classic cars

This (my car used to be so pretty):

Plus this:

Equals this:

2002-2004 Ford Focus SVT w/Cobra motor (appears to be the non-supercharged engine)

Suicide-door Saab 93

with one of the following:
Mazda Renesis

Ford 3-cylinder Ecoboost

Triumph 3-cylinder motorcycle engine

V4 two-stroke snowmobile engine

That Ford 3cyl Ecoboost could be a great swap for so many small old cars.... maybe even a certain JDM diesel 3 door Toyota SUV.

With the news that there will be factory-rebuilt Range Rover classics, but still keeping the original 3.5L carbed V8,
rangerover-reborn034-2.jpg

with any modern LS. Don't care that it's cliche; what's more appropriate than replacing an old alloy GM V8 design with a new one?

Coyote all the things! Surely theres enough room in RR engine bay for one. Would need a hell of a lot of chassis bracing with either V8. Also probably new axles/diffs/t-case to take the extra power.

An XJ6 coupe body

With basically everything (drivetrain, rear suspension, accessories, some interior bits) from my XJR.

Harry Metcalfe almost has that, though his is an original XJ12C with a manual.

Yes, his XJ12C is amazing and I'm super jelly.

To stay on topic, a Z32 with an RB26 swap. Look how much room there is for activities! As opposed to the VG30DETT, the engine is much more accessible for maintenance and there are tons more aftsrmarket parts available.

YES!

I absolutely love the design of that car. <3

I think I've mentioned this before in another thread, but I want this

Except maybe I'll wait for the next gen Navigator. The current one is a million years old and its much worse equipped than the new Super Duty.

Surely there are better inline-4s for this swap?

And these are just the naturally-aspirated ones.

I love swaps, and wish i had the know how to do them myself, there's so many things that fit under the hood of a Volvo 240 instead of the ye olde redblock.

The obvious LS swap that seem to be an american hobby.

1975 Ford Granada 2 door sedan. The European one.

Of course with a Coyote

Why a 2 door sedan? Just because my grandfather bought one of those new. A 1975 model that he bought in the spring of 1976. So the color should be gold just like his.

This is the color
