Just been to the show, JC, hampster and tiff were great lmao, loads of piss taking.

They even did a football game with that toyota aygo.

After the show on motorway I got overtaken by black range rover with JR07 number plate doing 120mph, had to be JC, did take a look when i cought up with him but couldn't tell for sure...

Anyone else go?

Sorry if its a repost...

I went on Thursday night, and I thoroughly enjoyed it despite the rest of the audience being dead and the show starting an hour late. There were plenty of mistakes when I went, including Tiff killing the driveshaft in the Ultima so they had to scrap that entire part. The finale was fabulous though, but you could tell no-one was actually paying any attention to the "car" (trying not to give too much away for those that haven't been yet!).

A very enjoyable night out, and if anyone is still mulling over whether to go or not, just go, it's well worth it.

Did you get any VXR sweets Vuk?

i doubt it was JC, for one he makes it clear he hates private number plates, he doesn't even own a range rover. i also doubt he would be speeding either, he wouldn't risk his license speeding on the motorway when he's got the TG test track!

well, if i had the top gear test track i would risk loosing my license because i've got the test track still if i lost it.

and i cannot imagine someone like JC not speeding occasionally...he is a petrolhead afterall. ;)

yeh, but if JC lost his license he would probably get sacked from TG so he wouldn't have the track! i have no doubt that he speeds regularly, who doesn't?, but anything over 100mph is an instant ban so he's unlikely to be doing those speeds on the open road. anyway in many of his articles he says he doesn't see the point of speeding and he doesn't drive much these days! he talks it up on TV but i don't think he's really the speed freak people make him out to be.

Hey guys. Going to the London one on the coming Friday (the 18th).
Haven't bought my ticket yet but will prob do so tomorrow. Any tips on which to get/where to sit? I was thinking of getting the Standard seat for ?25 - it's in a reasonably good position.
But then there's the premium one which, though closer, is off to one side. But it gives a "back stage paddock tour" - any of you guys know what that actually is and if it's worth the extra 5 quid?

Really looking forward to this. Is it possible to take loads of photos (i.e. should I buy my new Digicam now or keep waiting as I'd planned till next month when I can afford it better...)?

Cheers and thanks in advance...

last year in erls court london, i saw him leaving after the show in his sl55 amg, HE WAS DRIVING LIKE A MANIAC and beeping everyone.

Trust me he is a nutter.

Earl's Court could be quite different to the NEC, where it looked as though all the seats were quite good (I was about a third of the way up from the stage, fairly central). My ticket included the paddock tour, which isn't so much a "tour" as a meander like a flock of sheep, it was good for getting photos of the cars in the show, and being nosy as some mechanics were working by lamplight to repair one of the football Aygo's that had been damaged in the show. It takes 5 minutes to walk round, so if you think that's worth a fiver then go for it. The one thing I would say is NOT to shell out the extra ?10-?15 for either the Evo or Sunday Times enclosures - I didn't (although I considered it) and when I got there I was very glad I hadn't wasted my money.

Thanks for that - that's pretty much what I wanted to hear I guess. I think it may be worth the paddock tour as I don't know when I'll get this chance again and it is just a fiver I guess, so will probably go for that then.

And I'll admit I've been considering (along with my mate) to go for one of the enclosures too (though being a non-drinker, I'd have to pass up the glass of bubbly!)... But it was ?15 more so wasn't sure if it was worth it. Now I know... Thanks for guiding me in the right direction - premium ticket it is!

Also decided over dinner I may not bother with the digicam upgrade just yet just for this. No photos I can get will be as good as stuff I can already download on the 'net - particularly with crowds around the cars as there's bound to be...

I think your right - He probly does have a Range Rover. TGG said she saw him driving one on the motorway except really really slow. At first I thought it was more bullshit coming out of her mouth but I guess its true...Heres what she said:

Also theres a thread with some mad pictures from MPH05.

I went to MPH O5 today and it was amazing! The live show was so funny, JC spent most of the time telling hammond he was gay for having his teeth whitened and arguing that TG is much better than FG, which it is!, and pluging his dvd and the new series of TG.

just to cleer up the argument about seeing JC in his Range Rover, I saw his black SLK55 AMG outside the backdoor to the arena

The Range Rover that Jeremy drives throughout his "Who Do You Think You Are?" episode has different plates... I assume that was his wife's car. How do we know it has a JR07 plate?

Also, is there an article or anything Jeremy has written about custom plates? I'm wondering what his reason is for not liking them... I don't disagree, but just interested.

Hi guys - newb here. I went to MPH05 on saturday and really enjoyed it! Live show highlights for me were seeing tiff trying to break the UK speed limit (30) in the ultima on the presentation area, only to nearly crash into the barriers! Also Russ Swift being t-boned by one of his team-mates and crashing a new Astra vxr into the barriers in front of us. Did a great job on it, all the airbags went off and the front was crushed - very entertaining! The constant bickering between JC and hammond was funny, BUT one thing i did notice that on Top Gear last night, most of the things JC said on the 'news' section were the same lines he used in the MPH show (rich being gay, white teeth etc). Still good to seem them in real life.

Monkeymax - we went on the paddock tour, was ok but not worth queing for an hour. We had tickets for the EVO enclosure - free bubbly and goodie bag, not sure if it was worth it though.

Would be interesting to see if any vids pop up of the event.

Went to the show on saturday.
Great fun, alot of top gear style action in the action areana, like the helicopter chasing the exige.
And clarkson is a funny f**k, nearly got ran over a few times, and when he was drifting with tiff he crashed te 350z into a wall and shouted down his mic "SHITTT". Lmao.

Had a good time, lot of nice supercars lined up in the hall too.

Oh man, I've really got to stop reading this thread about what I'm missing out on :(

won't they make a TV special about this show?

some pictures for you of MPH 05 at the NEC:

Yeh it was awesome! I couldnt stop laughin when JC crashed into the "curtain" which was in fact a wall! The finale was incredible! I recommend to go see it! The only negative thing i can say is that i didnt see a Zonda! Was there one there?! Sore the carrera GT though, so im happy!
Heres my link to some of the pictures i took: http://www.pbase.com/danfreeman/mph05
