you paid 1100 for a cat back and 900 for a x pipe?

250 for a short shifter? 500 for a tune?

150 for a filter?

wow talk about paying too much

you obviously dont know me..I'm Dutch..we are cheap bastards..lol

you cant get any of those parts any cheaper anywhere..trust me

$500 for the tune includes over 6 hrs of dyno tuning
Bassani makes the best stainless steel x-pipes on the market
The Magnaflow is a stainless steel complete cat back
MGW makes one of the best short throw shifter's on the market

again I would rather pay more for quality parts then lots of the cheap ass
Mustang parts on the market. I dont cheap out on parts.

tune is understandable but everything else is rediculous. my stainless magnaflow cat back cost 435 bucks and i thought i overpaid. a k&n shouldnt cost over 75 bucks, and that shifter you linked me to was 179 dollars, not 250

you do know I live in Canada right?
what car do you drive...the cat back for a Cobra has to go over the IRS...this isnt just some random cat bacK system..

http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/shopexd.asp?zone=American&id=279

price shows $698.61 now...but 2 years ago it was $799.00us
plus exchange was $911.00 cdn + 15% tax + $50.00 shipping
=$1097.00

that shifter came out of georgia

$179.00 + $25.00US shipping
$204.00us converted to CDN
204.00 USD = 232.799 CAD as of today..the exchange was worse 2 years ago
plus $15.00 at the border to cover taxes and duty...

The filter was $90.00 as its a 12" open end cone and the
billet aluminum bracket to hold it to the intake was $60.00
you can see it in the picture.

I have all my receipts and all my numbers add up roughly

For $5000, that's pretty good performance moods. Taxes and customs are what kill Canadians :p.

Thanks guys...only 5 more months till I get to drive it again...LMAO!!!

Actually the Cobra IRS isn't very good and the solid axle actually handles better, that's the reason the Cobra R is a solid axle.

What? Cobra and Cobra R have IRS, and they definitely handle better than the solid axle 'Stangs. I drove an '04 Cobra, and it tracked much nicer, launched better than the Mach 1 I'd been in. None of the sway over bumps during cornering either.

Great car...I assume its a M/T. If so, wouldnt it be a detriment for drag racing? I always felt a drag car that can run 12 seconds or less should be an automatic.

Then again, my knowledge is from F-bodies.

There are 9 second manual F-Bodies out there. Rare but they do exist. Properly prepped and driven it can be just as fast as an automatic ;).

not yet...but as it gets quicker you are correct...
but I didnt buy the car to make it a drag car or I would have bought the coupe, not the vert.
I already run into safety regulation problems at some tracks for not having a cage in the car (11.99 or lower)
for me its a show and go car..I do several car shows a year too and some times do very well in my class.
Thanks for the compliments guys....:D
