Ownership Verified: My 99 Discovery 2

Love seeing your Disco take shape. I wish we had the manual diesel here, all the Discos in the US have too many electrics to go wrong.

No mine has the elctronics stuff, apparently it still has diff lock capable just needs a little bit done to get it working.

Edit: which I have just decided to do, Going to order the Diff lock linkage for it.

Nice, along with the traction control it'll be pretty much unstoppable. They all had the diff lock internals in the transfer box, just for some reason LR didn't fit the linkage.

Slippery tree roots are a bitch, momentum or aggressive tyres are the only ways to get up them. :D

Looks like great fun, I may be joining you in D2 ownership but that will be strictly on-road.

Well the disco showed its first sign of land rover ness.

It started running quite rough and was down on power and got worse over about 2 weeks to the stage where it felt like it was on 3 cyl.
After fixing up a fe bits and pieces it turned out to be the Fuel pump, when we connected a pressure gauge it registered at 0, So pretty impressed it was running with no fuel pressure.

New pump and good as new.

Mainly been working on the camper lately, New lights, wiring up camping lights, 12v ports for fridge and a stereo since i had a spare head deck sitting around.

Oooooooh, shiny new bumper...

TD5s sound great with a straight-through exhaust. New mods look great.

I'm going to resist the temptation to do these mods to mine, I'm determined to keep it bog standard.

Edit: Actually it needs some Mach 5 wheels, just not in orange...

Oops. It's only a matter of time with the longer overhang compared to a D1 and an even longer bumper. Don't worry, I bent the steel 'heavy duty' bumper on Keely. :D
