Need For Speed 11 - ProStreet

They always do that, announce something they don't deliver,
and deliver something cool that you end up - not using - in the final game.

I kinda like the demo. It's fast, some nice landscapes to see, nicely modelled cars,
I wish there were more explosions or something equally ridiculous to make the whole
game depart from reality totally.

Got the demo yesterday for my PS3 and fell asleep while palying.

Shitty unrealistic behaviour of the car (no matter how fast you go, the car corners like heaven) and same boring stuff as always.

Why can't they return to the origins and make a great game about driving supercars on normal roads.

What the fuck is with that rev limiter racket? It's really really annoying. In the M3, you passed through those muscle cars like a Veyron..... And corners? What corners?

The rev limiter is quite annoying. Remember this was the speed challenge so hard corners don't exist. Slight ones do.

Gaaaah, I need a new computer so badly!

I run 1024x768 with med/high settings and get like 25 FPS.

1680x1050 with mostly high settings. I spent a fair amount on this system. Came out to just about $2000 about one year ago. Well worth it though.

It is a lot harder especially when using a steering wheel :?

I'm using a Logitech G25 and found it to be quite good. Much better than Carbon and slightly better than Most Wanted. LFS still is the best when it comes to response and proper feedback though.

What is so special about Grip? It's just a two lap race right?

Just a track. I guess you would tune your car differently than say drag or for top speed. This is the aspect of the game I'm looking forward to.

Bah, what a disappointment of a demo, when did shaking the car become a representative of acceleration, and what the hell is with the brake lights, totally wonky

I was over my buddies house and he had xbl. He started to download the demo, but then we had to go pick up my other friend from work.

That sucked...

You'll have a nice long wait as EA keeps trying to compete at the highest level of offering a bunch of crap in a game that nobody really wants but sounds cool in a marketing meeting.

Here's some photos that I took from Big Boys Toys yesterday:

I'll upload more soon.

they had this at he EA hub at MPH and i couldn't tell what it was. there were no posters of the game. looks just like the original Juiced (which was awful). only realised it was Pro Street when they showed ads in the theatre

I have no idea why ppl don't like this game. It looks brilliant, better than any racing game, gfx & effects are miles better. It feels more realistic, it has better sound, better physics, speed feels really good & it's overall more refined.

I've player all the NFS's, Juiced's & GranTurismo's, Pro Street is the best so far.

Physics/realism/driving feel > fake looking smoke/special effects/eye candy, which is why GT, LFS and FM> this.

Well, comparing "NFS" to "GT" is kinda like
comparing "Space Invaders" to "Flight Simulator".

Physics/realism/driving feel > fake looking smoke/special effects/eye candy, which is why GT, LFS and FM> this.
Apples and oranges.

If I want a sim, I'll play LFS. If I want to actually have fun :)lol:), I'll play this.

Happy to report that the demo runs fine on my 1 year old laptop:) 800x600 Medium 2xAA and it flies.
I think it will be a great improvement to Carbon. Can't wait to drive the Cosie:)

THEY HAVE AN ESCORT COSWORTH??? If so, I'll be sure to otain this game right away. Frankly, an improvement in physics from NFS Carbon isn't hard. I've played mobile games which have better physics than Carbon.

Full game is out soon, I reckon, but a nice touch what people do to certain demos out there!!!
