^Well, just look at old nude sculptures of men. They're definitely a work of art.
So I guess I wouldn't be revolted if nude pictures of men were shown ... but I still wouldn't quite bring myself to looking at them. So, if our female members have an urge to post them, go right ahead ... but please use spoiler tags and NSFW warnings.
 
Why bother with such a section. Like it has been said before, it would only create problems in the long run I believe. I sure as hell don't want to argue with users what's acceptable and what's not.

Besides that. Isn't the boobs & ass thread enough? What exactly should go in that section. That thread divided by girls that have been posted in? I don't see the benefit.
 
yeah, apart from creating unnecessary work for admins, which I don?t really care about because I?m not one of them :D A nudity-section-that-you-have-to-be-18-for on a car forum is extremely ridiculous in my oppinion...
 
Yeah, I don't know. I currently don't see anything wrong with the boobs v arses or sexiest women or even Alok's NSFW pics... But a whole section dedicated to NSFW stuff? Is that really needed? This is a car forum, not a porn forum. Use GIS if you want to look at more than just boobs v arses.

Unfortunately I can't change my vote from maybe to no.

P.S. I'm no prude, just that this is a car forum...
 
I've been thinking about it some more and I changed my mind. Members post NWS material sometimes anyways (such as Alok's thread) so a whole NWS section will simply encourage inappropriate posts. There are PLENTY of sites out there that offer any kind of nudity imaginable, we don't need that stuff here. Tasteful/artsy photos get posted anyways and no one has had any problems yet because of NWS tags. I vote NO.
 
Or just make sure all non work-safe material remains in the NSFW section.

So if you have any doubts if someone's boss would object, don't post it in the main forums.. it would keep the main forum CLEAN if anything..
 
I honestly don't think it's needed. Will it improve the forums? That's the question that needs to be asked. If you just ask a bunch of men if they wan't to see more boobs of course they are going to say yes!
 
I vote yes, just because there are threads like the "funny picture" thread that could have the "work friendly" funny pictures and the "not work friendly" funny pictures. There are a lot of funny pictures that can be deemed "questionable" and if we had a 18+ subforum they could go in there. It would also make threads like the best looking woman thread a lot safer because there are some that are well... a sneeze away from being nudity.
 
I am indifferent. If there is an over 18 subforum, I will read it, but if there isn't, no tears will be shed.
 
I think it's fine the way it is. *Some* nudity is okay, and we have spoiler tags for a reason.

I don't think people who don't know the rules should be automatically banned though, unless they post some seriously vile shit.
 
Honestly, what I say is if it's not broken, don't fix it. We don't really need a NSFW section. A couple of threads marked NSFW are good enough.

There's lots of things we don't "need" here. Like the entire Off Topic section, for example. Especially the Political section, which causes more drama then allowing alittle nudity ever would.
 
My suggestion, refine the rules on what is allowed and what not (allow nudity in an 'artistic' fashion, or however you want to phrase it) and mandate the use of spoiler tags along with them(or get / create a suitable forum plugin for specificly NSFW stuff). Granted, I don't follow the general discussion forums that closely but from what I understand there's not that much NSFW stuff posted here so a subforum for it would be an overkill. Creating a sub-forum for the NSFW stuff will just encourage people to post more stuff there and it ain't really what this forum is all about.

Plus, it would have to be 18+ which I'm not fond of either, if there's a checker that checks your profile age it's easy as hell to change the values and if it's some sort of approval system it's more work for the staff.

Bottom line is, clean nude pictures never hurt anyone regardless of their age. Why go apeshit about the matter?

My thoughts run along the same lines as Ford Prefect.
No need for a ban on nudity.
No need for a subforum dedicated to nudity.
If I spot something carrelated, I'd like to post it even though the people in it have no pants on. Think of the laughs the BBC denies us, when JC shows the audience what he found on the internet. Sad, isn't it?
For those poor souls living in nanny states, It might be necessary to hide it under a NSFW-sign. Irritating but acceptable.
