Don't see why another small SUV is needed, they already have the Tiguan. Offer it with the 3.6-litre VR6, perhaps.

It is good as an Estate - I can testify to that - had a rental - 6 speed Gear Box and 1.9 TDI - lovely for what it is designed for - the motorway!
Does anyone else feel like this new Passat is just Jetta + 15% larger? I really fail to see the differences. This whole VW image theme has carried on a little too much. I can remember when each car looked obviously different but I knew it was a VW.

I sorta see your point, yeah. I do think the design will age very well though, while stuff like the overwrought CC well....won't.
