Not to cramp your style but:

1 : That is one of our worst 'made for export because foreigners can't tell the difference anyway' fake artisanal swirls we make.

2 : It's poured horribly

What's wrong with it?

Half foam, half beer in the glass?

To avoid excessive foam, tilt your beer glass about 45-60 degrees and gently poor the beer along the inside of the glass. As the glass starts filling gradually tilt the glass back towards vertical and voil?, no foam all over the place and a flat beer after 2 minutes.

Fully agreed until you get to the 'flat beer in 2 minutes part', in a properly cleaned, cool and rinsed glass (with proper beer) the ever so important few centimeters of foam should hold at least until halfway through the beer, especially in this case where it's a White beer, they tend to have a tight, small bubbled, long lasting foam.....but half a glass full? That's indeed a pouring disaster :p

*takes his drink seriously*

If you want Belgian white beer this is the one to go for:

Inbev Swirl? Really? You new to this beer thing or do you have Dutch ancestors?

Try this* :

*Availability in Brazil not guaranteed, in fact rare even here.

For something more available, commercial but still 3 steps above anything Inbev:

That said, we don't really 'do' White beers all that much or that good, for a good selection of White beers, as much as it pains me to say, you need to talk to se shermans.

I was expecting that.

1- It was good, but I?ve had better. It still is miles better than the crap people chug down, so .
2- I do know that, but I didn?t pour it.

See above.

Ah, good to know. They had Veddet there, but I haven?t heard about it before, so I just took my chances with the one in the picture.

EDIT: I just checked the local beer specialist and he does have Struise Witte. Not as expensive as I expected. I?ll have one on the weekend. Thanks for the tip! :D

Sorry, I worded it poorly. What I was meaning to say is, that if you have too much foam after pouring the beer will get flat sooner.

In his defence, Hoegaerden was good, until inBev fucked with it.

Indeed, and now you know the reason I despise Inbev, their gardener, and their gardeners dog.
Hoegaerden is one example, but they have screwed up pretty much everything they have bullied their way into, and they continue to munch up small breweries with aggressive takeovers.
10-15 years time? We won't have an artisanal brewing economy anymore, we will have large foreign corporations making swirl and selling it all over the world calling it quality Belgian beer.

Never tried a white beer. So far, the best Belgian brew I've had was a Lindeman's Cassis lambic. It tasted more like a wine than a beer; very sweet. I want to try the kriek next time.

Man, Cowboy needs to send beer (and Adutchiewaffle needs to send more stroopwaffles!)

Whatever you do, don't touch him!

If I learned anything from seeing Timecop*, it's that the same matter cannot occupy the same space at the same time. Otherwise, this happens:

*Apart from don't see Timecop, that is.

Born & raised in Belgium so I know my way around beers.
Just not the white ones :)
I guessed Hoegaarden would be the one that he might come across in his country.
