just added a La-Z boy and the x360 :)

I still wonder why people keep buying surround sets only to place them all together on a table ;-)
Nice chair :)

Nice chair :)

i don't have stands for the surround rear speakers, but i improvise and stack boxes on my side so i can set them up. Not very elegant but effective :D i just removed them so the picture won't look cluttered :D

@ MXM

it looks far but it isnt :D

oh i see your point hehe... what i meant was that it's within easy reach with the chair at that position. but when reclined (mostly only when watching movies), i just pull out the keyboard to my lap while i put the mouse on the table on the right side where it can be easily reached. :)

My desktop in my students room has been posted before, this is my room at home. Nothing special, but I'm quite proud of my new old audio gear. It's two Mission M70 speakers and a Pioneer SX-450 receiver (of thirty years old :)). They sound fantastic for such a little speakers, and don't take much space on my desk.

I think my desk is pretty clean, because all i need to surf is my keyboard + mouse and sometimes i find some surprises!

I'll bet sometimes you grab the wrong mouse.

I'll post my setup later, a virtual lab-bench with three desktops and two laptops. And I have 3 other computers around the house after that.

People I give you the 32" HDTV Secondary Monitor!

I can give you the 61" HDTV primary monitor (I run a Media Center PC in my home theater).

Here's my setup (I'm a Computer Scientist and all around tech/gadget geek):

yeah, thats the right place for it.

Holy crud, thats a lot. PSPs, PCs, cars, like 6 FG members in one

I'll have to take a picture of my lab table at work. I use three computers at the same time (Mac + Vista + XP). One computer isn't enough for me, I multitask so much. Usually one computer is crunching away on a long term task and I interactively use the other.

I'm OS agnostic and like learning about the other operating systems after being a Windows guy for years, so I run XP, Vista, Mac OSX, and Linux (Fedora) and use whatever I feel like using.

My PC has XP & Vista on it, with two displays (one tilted in portrait mode, perfect for documents and forums). The Mac Pro has two displays, and usually I run Windows via Parallels on the right display (so it's like using 2 computers right there). I rarely use the Linux machine all the way on the right but I do work with Linux and VNC or SSH into it with the other machines.

The Mac laptop is what I take to work and when it's home I hook up a 2nd display running Windows in Parallels, the Mac is on the VPN and Windows on my local network.

Are you sorry you asked?

yeah, thats the right place for it.

Don't knock the mini, cool little computers they are. :) I actually bought it for myself originally to use with a KVM with my PC; then I got the Macbook and then the Mac Pro, didn't need the mini anymore. My wife gets very intimidated by my computers and didn't want to touch them (I can't understand why :)) so I gave her the Mini.

The white PSP is imported from Japan with hacked firmware plus an external battery and hard drive for ISOs.

I think he didn't comment on the mac mini itself, but on it's location in the house. "in the kitchen for the wife" sounds a bit funny in these times of political correctness and career women :p

^ OK I see... My wife actually DOES surf for recipies, and we both use it a few times a week to surf while eating breakfast at the breakfast nook.

exactly!

and no, i'm not sorry, it was more of a rhetoric question actually...i can surely understand why one would need so much computers and screens...i'd probably have three as well if i had the cash...one for gaming with like three widescreens, one pc for working with two screens at least (one widescreen and one "portrait mode" for photo editing and documents) and maybe i'd get a mac too for working as well. that all without being a computer scientist. ;)
oh and surely i'd need a laptop to browse forums from my garden. :D

Yes, that is a pirate hat on my bookshelf.
The bag on the wall contains a Pentax ME Super 35mm SLR.
The computer is a last-model iBook G4, known as McBook. 1.33Ghz, 512MB of RAM, a 40GB HD, 12-inch screen.
