Post your fireworks shots

I've got a few that I really like the colors on an stuff. I wasn't in a neat location though as far as surroundings go.

It was kind of a pain with the tripod since we were sitting on a ramp at the top of a parking garage.

All taken during last years "Pyronale", a fireworks championship held in Berlin. Some may have been posted in Lens Flair.

Stupid question: all these are shot with a tripod right?

Most firework shots require at least 1-1.5 sec exposures, so that probably answers your question.

I didn't use a tripod, because you are basically recording the movement of small particles anyway, so the difference is going to be only if the lines are sort of smooth or not. You can see that clearly in my last shot, thats me shaking (3 seconds exposure) rather than the particles moving randomly.

The only video that turned out OK... Wishing that more had, really...

I wish they'd start fireworks about half-an-hour after sunset (instead of an hour-and-a-half). It would give so much more opportunity to balance the show with the available light.

Shot some last night, not terribly happy with my shots but here's some

The colors and texture make it look like a nebula of some sort.
