Post your random dashcam videos thread

not a dashcam, not mine, but what a speedfreak!

Quickly rendered in Vegas this isn't really the greatest footage. Sound needs an external mic and the case is rattling and rattling ... wondering if my ModMic 4.0 works with the cam, because apparently you can mod it to have one. That's really my own fault with buying the Yi, I didn't realize there's no way to adapt an external microphone. Also, remember to charge your cam.

Aaand I need to adjust the FoV, because it looks so open and slow whereas in reality it's tight and narrow and slow.

Finally got around to pulling a bunch of footage off my cam and uploading it. Muted videos are due to me being on phonecalls.

A few of the videos should have annotations, which aren't showing up for some reason (at least for me). Not sure if I did something wrong since it was the first time I played with those.

Yup, I've had that happen.

Some guy I know that drives a Scania for a living changed lanes from left to right and heard a thud. Didn't notice anything until a Passat came up sideways in front of him. oops.

Thankfully the speed was very low and nothing came out of it other than some bent metal and a few exchanged unpleasantries.

Behold, a Volvo-driving obliviot! But I repeat myself. Classic Volvo driver behavior, though.

From the drive home today

I forgot this thread existed. Looks like the cop car was already responding to something else judging by the speed, lucky escape for the Charger driver.

Some recent clips of vaguely interesting stuff:

Caught my first accident on dashcam today. And a hit and run at that. License plate and driver's face was clear as daylight. Waited with the person who was hit until the cops got there and showed them the video. Was a very minor accident with minimal damage, but got it on camera none the less.

What bike lane? I see diagonal lines, no bike should be there either.

Accident happened around where I put the red line. I've complained about people cutting through the bike lane in this exact area before in a different thread before. This particular time there were 3 assholes there, led by that Q5. I had an MDX try to get infront of me, but they ultimately fell back. Won't be playing that game of chicken anymore.

The construction causes traffic to back up well past this intersection. The Q5 came from the street on the right where the camera car is in that screen shot. She got into the traffic lane a few cars behind me then decided she was better than everyone else.

Another major issue I'm seeing a lot here is that when traffic backs up through the intersection, most people on Northwestern have the decency to not block that intersection even on a green. But for some reason the people coming in from the right take that as an invite to turn on red and block the intersection. Which causes even more frustration. I've actually gotten into a small spat of road rage with someone who was trying to turn on red infront of me and I went in to block them. They honked at me, but I just pointed at the red light they were trying to run. Was in the Jeep that time without a camera. Another game of chicken I won't be playing anymore.

I flinched. Was ready for a bird through the windshield.

EDIT: Damn, Youtube compression is really killing this one.
